Starting today there are going to be some new rules in the Fanfic Forum. These don't apply to one-shots that have already been posted, though if you'd like to post a revised version that's fine. If you have started a multi-chapter story that does not meet these guidelines, you're going to have to go back and edit what you've already posted, as well as make sure new chapters meet the requirements. Hopefully the rules all make sense, and if you have any questions go ahead and ask them here. I will also be posting a "Common Spelling/Grammar Mistakes" thread that anyone is welcome to add to and a "Proof-Reader Request" thread. The Guidelines: 1) Works are to be in prose format, with the exception of poetry. 2) Chapters of the same story should be in a single thread. 3) There should be line breaks after every paragraph to make things easier to read. 4) There should also be line breaks between different characters speaking for the same reason. 5) We encourage the use of proper spelling and grammar. Before you post please read over your work at least once and use the spell check function. I'm not going to be super-tough over one or two errors and things like using "you're" instead of "your" once. Everybody makes mistakes. Just do your best. 6) If English is not your native tongue, or you if you just need an extra set of eyes, start a thread asking for a proof-reader. Hopefully someone will oblige, and I will try to make myself available as well.
