I'm currently considering a timetable for when to institute a forum account cleanup. My basic plan at the moment is to issue an official notification at some point that accounts with 0 posts will be deleted one month after the announcement. Mostly because I am seeing a few new registrations, but these members are not responding to anticlam account verification requests, leading me to suspect/conclude they are clambot software.
I'll probably be doing this soon, I haven't decided when to make the announcement yet.
And don't worry, it's not based on forum activity, but number of posts. Only those with 0 posts will be candidates for removal. Because if they truly wanted to be a part of this community, they should have at said something by now, if only to say hello.
I'm considering that as another policy, that all new members must make an introduction post just to let us know they have arrived. Which would also double as another level of clambot security and it would mean I'd have to stop asking each new member personally about that issue.
Feel free to let me know if you have any opinions on all of the above.
