Until TLM came along, the 80s wasn't a great decade for Disney, but do you like any of the other movies? I used to like Basil when I was younger but I haven't seen it for years. I like Oliver and Company though.

I like the Fox and the Hound. Other than TLM, that's it.

I like The Black Cauldron even though every one hates that one, it probably didn't do anything good for Disney, but it was really spooky and cool!

I have the Fox and the Hound on dvd.
I think it was the first Disney movie I saw.
The only other one I can remember from that time is The Rats of NIMH. But when I grew up, I discovered the books and ignored the movies from that moment on.

Other than TLM I liked the Fox and the Hound. I loved it when I was a kid but I just watched it recently and thought it was pretty boring. I guess I've grown out of it. TLM will always be a timeless favorite for me.

I like The Black Cauldron even though every one hates that one, it probably didn't do anything good for Disney, but it was really spooky and cool! I dont understand why everyone hated that one. I personally thought it was great. It's probably Disney's most darkest movies so far, it was different from most of Disney's films and that's what i liked about it. But the Horned King did seem kinda useless but he was Spooky...

The Black Cauldron was always a very likable movie, I thought, and I have never understood why The Great Mouse Detective is accused of being a particularly dark story. It's no darker than any of Disney's other greatly loved movies.

There has never been a Disney movie that I haven't liked on some level. So I liked all the 80's movies.

I'm surprised so many people on here like the Black Cauldron! I always thought it was a very unpopular movie and when I watched it last year I understood why. It wasn't the worst movie in the world and the animation was fine, but I could tell it was supposed to be all dark and scary and it just wasn't. I thought the characters were really weak (especially Princess Eilonwy) compared to Disney's other movies and that made the story uninteresting. :( It's an ok movie and I would probably watch it again, but as a Disney movie I thought it was disappointing.

Ok, besides TLM, it would have to be The Fox and the Hound. I still cry when I watch it. Some other good ones... The Journey Of Natty Gann, The Brave Little Toaster, and Oliver & Company. Let's throw in Flight of the Navigator too. You know, I think I'll go and watch that right now.

I don't like any as much as I like TLM, but I've always really liked The Great Mouse Detective. That movie goes way back for me.

I like the Fox and the Hound (although the romance part was too much for me) I also like the Great Mouse Detective and Oliver & Company.
I can see why people didn't enjoy the Black Cauldron. My mom and I watched it (actually I saw parts of it b/c I was dong HW) and we all agreed that it wasn't as funny or as heartfelt as other disney movies. My mom thought the film was too serious. It did look scary because the villian looked scary enough to scare my brother out of his wits.
