Has anyone visited Disney's California Adventure recently? They opened up a new Little Mermaid ride, which will also be added to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando along with the new Fantasyland expansion!
I recently visited California and was lucky enough to see Disneyland and California Adventure. I was SO excited to finally be able to ride TLM ride since I've researched it and have been keeping up with the updates being released for the new Fantasyland.
I thought the ride was very well done, and had such an amazing feel to it. One thing I noticed while on the ride though was one of the Ariel animatronics. I'll show you what I mean:
This is what Ariel's hair originally looked like in one of the scenes on the ride - www.insidethemagic.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/5792044342_4f1191db0f_b.jpg
But when I got on the ride, I saw this - 25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3u6z8RjYN1qjrmm3o1_500.jpg
When I got back home I looked into it and found out that many fans had been criticizing the look of the hair in the first picture, comparing it to an ice cream cone or beehive. Fact of the matter is, the reason behind that hair do was because of inspiration directly from a scene in the film - www.insidethemagic.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/hair.jpg
I personally preferred the first photo because it was different and was supposed give off that underwater feeling. What do you guys think? Has anyone else been on the ride? If not, are you excited to ride it someday, whether it be in Orlando or California?
