I've been playing this game for a couple of days now and am finding it quite interesting. The games involve finding parts of pictures in a still from the franchise of a particular Disney franchise. Which one depends on which one you choose. Since it is a story based game though, you have to work through the story to unlock the worlds for selection. Another part of the game involves crafting items, like characters, props, location upgrades etc. I recommend you purchase a second crafting slot through ingame transaction as it makes this process faster. But don't do this until you've played at least half a given world, it seems to give you a discount for this. There is a Little Mermaid world in the game, it looks like it's the 4th one. Given that this game is slow paced, it'll take you a while to get there. The other worlds of interest to me are Frozen, Tangled and Brave.

Yes it's a pretty interesting game! I've been playing it on my Android for a couple of months now!
But sadly there are rumors it might be pulled down soon meaning fans will no longer be able to play the game from later this month.
So, I'm trying to avoid making any online transactions, just in case!

By the way, I'm in the 'Snow White' World now! How far have you reached?

Well, you are half correct. It is being closed down, but only for Facebook. See the official announcement here: Disney Hidden Worlds (Facebook Closing)For players like you and me who are are playing it on mobile devices, we should be still able to play it after this date. I'm currently finishing Aladdin. Judging from the progression map, Little Mermaid is next up to play. I can't wait! If it's okay with you, can we try the friends feature? I don't know if it works across different devices, but I'd like to try. I'm not sure if I have anything to give though, I've only gotten 1 gift ink so far and according to what the game tells me, I'll need it for lots of things. If you want to try the friend list feature, send me a private message and I'll send you my id code. I don't like disclosing these things publicly where anyone can read it.

I sent the invite. Hopefully it works. I tried to unlock the Little Mermaid world today, as I've finally reached it. Because I didn't have enough compasses, I tried to purchase the gems to unlock it without them. Something went wrong and although I was charged for the gems, I didn't actually get them! Which means I can't play the world until I get them! :( Trying to sort that out with technical support now. Hopefully this won't happen again, as I'll need to do this for each world I get to. Well, maybe by the time I get to Frozen, I'll have enough compasses to unlock it for free.

Yes, I've replied to you regarding that in a PM I sent just a while ago.
That's a pity!
Why don't you just craft out all the 'characters' in the first 3 worlds (Aladdin, Tangled and Beauty & the Beast)? That should give you enough compasses to craft the TLM compass! It's way better than going through those online transactions!

I haven't looked into the requirements for crafting those characters yet, but I suspect I'll have to pay for those as well. For example, when I crafted Flynn Rider, it required a gift ink, the only one I had! I reasoned if you buy this and that, you're up for the cost of the unlock anyway, so thought it would be more efficient to just unlock the world directly. Plus, I've got a priority list of sorts, I want to do my favorites first, then I'll work my way down to the others if I've got enough stuff leftover. It goes something like this: Little Mermaid Frozen Brave Tangled Tangled has a disappointment, after I made Flynn, I was hoping to make Rapunzel, which would have been my 3rd compass. But it said no, you have to make Mother Gothel first. I don't want to make her at this time, so deferred that until later. At the moment, I'm working on Olive's world until the other issue is resolved. And then I'll go back to the Inkling sidequests afterwards, since they give you paper and you need that for practically everything!

Yes, actually you are pretty right! It does cost you the same either way!
You can actually craft the 'Gift Ink' - but it requires quite some time (about 10 hours) and plenty of resources (a couple of metallic & glitter inks + a few primary & secondary palettes) though. It's tedious but if you start at the very beginning of a world, you might have just enough gift inks by the time you are done with the storyline and the site upgrades.
But then again, it is much more fun to proceed with playing your favorites first because the game gets a little monotonous before you are about to unlock "Snow White's World" (in case you AREN'T using the gems to get an 'early unlock') - you need to first complete a 'special nightfall mode' of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin & Tangled until which you aren't allowed to craft the 'Snow White compass'.
Anyway, did the technical support sort out the transaction error regarding your gems purchase?

Getting resources is a bit tricky, at a rough estimate I can play about 4 scenes before all my energy ink is consumed. And then it's a 2-3 hour wait until it recharges. I've no doubt with enough patience I could acquire the resources to make the gift ink for myself.
The crafting slots is a bit tricky though, I only have two unlocked and one of them is always being used for crafting something that takes a long time to make (at the moment, I am making Olive's picnic setting, 3 hours). The other slot is used for the two minute or half hour projects. According to what you say about crafting the gift ink, if i were to make those, i wouldn't be able to craft anything else!
Yes, I do prefer to play my favorites, because it's more interesting to play something I am very familiar with then a movie I've only seen once or never.
They fixed my issue just now, I have the gems. I've just unlocked the Little Mermaid world.
I'm currently working on the Inkling side quests at the moment, to get as many sheets of paper as I can before I play TLM world. These worlds use a lot of paper, so I'm trying to get as many as I can before I start.

It's a relief they sorted it out!
Yeah, it's pretty frustrating how quickly the fuel gets over!
And by the way, I recommend you purchase a 'third crafting slot' especially later on in the game, when its price 'drops' to 90 gems. You'll find it really helpful!
And also, if you check out the inventory, you'll see that there's a limit on how much paper you can collect at a time (I think it's 50). So, make sure you follow a cycle of 'use and collect' because any extra paper (over 50) isn't compensated!

I'm considering getting a third slot when I progress a bit further into the game. Maybe when I reach Brave world. And yes, I'm aware there is a limit, but it would be nice to have as many as possible, since It means I can focus on the story instead of side missions. Some of those Inkling missions will consume all my energy ink in less then 10 minutes! I guess the villian doesn't like Carlotta's sartorial aspeciaty: And my favorite Inkling Olive getting excited over TLM:

Frankly speaking, I find that villain guy really annoying!
Judging from your s'shots, it's likely you'll be done with the TLM world very soon! Will you be proceeding with the characters or are you planning to unlock a new world?

It'll probably take me a few days, because I have to replay so many scenes to get various inks to craft stuff.
As for the characters, it depends on the order you are allowed to craft them in. Based on Tangled, it seems it starts with sidekicks, the male lead, the villian and then the female lead. If they stick to this format, it'll probably be Sebastian/Flounder, Eric, Ursula and then Ariel. I'd prefer to start with the female lead, as she's the most important! :(
Another factor is if the character needs gift ink to make and if I have enough to do it. My general rule is if it requires gift ink, I'll defer it until later. I want to unlock all the worlds/characters/location upgrades first so I have an idea of how much gift ink I will need in total.
Also, as I mentioned, I'm only making the characters for my favorite worlds, I won't be doing them all.
I wonder if they will add more worlds in the future? It'd be nice to see some more stuff to explore. Also, inevitably I'm going to get to the point where I've done everything there is and there won't be much to do besides logging in daily.

The order in which you are allowed to craft the characters for TLM (if I remember clearly) is - Prince Eric followed by King Triton followed by Ursula and finally Princess Ariel.
And you DO need gift ink to craft each of the characters - if I can recall clearly, Ariel requires 4 gift inks to be crafted. The other 3 characters need fewer.
Yes, I wish too that they add a few more worlds. Let's wait and see what beholds!
