There was a big ruckus about the director originally saying there would be no music in the film, but that's since been revised and apparently it will be a musical. I hope. I really, really hope. The music in Mulan was so fantastic!
But Yifei Liu seems like a great choice, I can't wait to see what she does.

I remember 10 years ago I was in New York City, I stood right across the street of the Lunt-Fontanne Theater and saw The Little Mermaid's big poster. I was a school trip, so I didn't get to attend because we were on a schedule (we saw Wicked though!) but I'll never forget the feeling I felt when I saw it. As a Little Mermaid fan I knew I'd probably remember that moment for the rest of my life, and I did!
I ended up celebrating the moment by purchasing the soundtrack CD and a T-Shirt on a corner store. It was small, but it was the highlight of the trip!

I'm really silly, and I thought it's been broken still this entire time, but then I realized I was using a different theme than the default one. So yeah, everyone make sure to switch back to the default forum theme!

Omg that Vanessa cosplay had me on the floor laughing haha. And I love Leo Camacho! He's dating Sarah Snitch, a YouTuber I really like. What a cool event!

They were pretty nice! Ursula had the best wardrobe and makeup from my perspective, I really loved her makeup and it really popped and commanded a presence on stage. Flounder was adorable, he has a cute poofy pants and a blue mohawk. Scuttle was also really cool and had a business vest on. The sets were pretty nice too, it was simplistic at times which I thought was cool. Though most scenes on the surface sort of had the same background, but that's okay. They're a touring group after all.

Last night I finally had a chance to go to see The Little Mermaid musical performed for the very first time, and it did not disappoint. Being fan of TLM for so long, and am of course familiar with the musical going into it, so I had a lot of expectations. And it was amazing!
The big highlights for me were the performance of "If Only", "Poor Unfortunate Souls", and "Under The Sea". The whole cast really did a spectacular job. Diana Huey portrayed Ariel in such a new refreshing and unique way, and her movement and charisma on stage really made me smile. Jennifer Allen's Ursula was also mesmerizing, and really owned her wardrobe and the character of Ursula in every possible way. My favorite performance would probably go to Melvin Abston who played Sebastian. Every time he was on stage he made the audience laugh.
The biggest let down for me was the removal of the song "I Want The Good Times Back", but I don't think that song is ever coming back to the musical. "Daddy's Little Angel" is still a good song.
If you have a chance to catch this musical while they're touring, I really recommend it! I had an amazing night. A TLM fan's dream come true.

Uh oh, now it looks like the photobucket crash has hit the forum now. I've been seeing it happen all around with the web lately with images hosted with photoshop. I'd recommend using Imgur.

Hmm, I don't think it's from the series but maybe it's just a nice quote people have attributed to Ariel? Since those images don't seem to be directly quoting her. But it is very lovely. I could be wrong though!

That was so cool. I wasn't expecting it to be in so many different styles back to back. The EDM part was so cool ;P

This is a really interesting concept. I think this would actually make an interesting novel, maybe not even afiliated with Disney's TLM, but inspired by the original tale with even more character and world building. But even still, imagining this as a TLM fanfic is really fun.
