I would love to see a new Little Mermaid attraction... but not so much a Rattatoille ride. I never saw the movie but it looked bad, I'm so sick of CGI movies.

Unfortunately Disney's California Adventure revolves a lot around Pixar movies, what with Bugs Land, Toy Story Mania, Monster's Inc Attraction, Pixar Play Parade, etc. I think it may as well be called Pixarland. However, even though I like most Pixar movies (although I am sick of CGI in non-Pixar films), it can be extremely boring after a while.. So bring on TLM ride!

As much as I hate Pixar's domination, there's something really cool about the fact that TLM still makes the cut. Just goes to show Ariel is extra special! I hope the ride happens!

It was just on the news as soon as I walked in the door. If it happens I'll find myself over at DCA more often than usual.

I dunno, but I'm actually excited to see the 1920's look. But Carsland? Meh, already have a land based on a Pixar movie. I have no idea where they are putting all this stuff, other than the Toy Story Mania is under the roller coaster. I assume the TLM ride will be near the pier but who knows. Maybe Carsland is replacing Bug's Land Supposedly TLM attraction will be replacing Golden Dreams, which will take nearly five years to tear down and build. I am happy to hear it will be by the pier, since I was hoping it would be near there. And I am looking forward to the 1920s look as well. ^_^

It's been long overdue for a Little Mermaid attraction at a Disney theme park in the States. I can't wait to see what it looks like!

Do you think it will be just like the ride on the DVD? I remember reading about a different concept with layers of glass over the top of the vehicles and bubbles racing upwards through them to create the illusion of being underwater. It sounded really cool.

Visit www.disneylandnews.com/ if you guys want to see more official details. I cannot help suspecting that the ride shown on the DVD is the inspiration for this ride, but I don't think it will be exactly the same, though, since Disney imagineers (basically the brains and imaginations behind-the-scenes) are always ameliorating the design and effects. And I really like the idea of the underwater illusion. I hope they do that, or something similar to it.

At least the ride is being made, or at least, proposed again.

Someone posted a video today about the changes happening at DCA. I checked it out to see if there was anything on the TLM ride and, if what this guy says is a credible source, it sounds exactly like the DVD ride but he called it Voyage of the Little Mermaid which is not to be confused with the WDW show. It also said it was scheduled for summer 2011 (that's too long!) Anyway, check it out. The TLM part is short and you have to jump about 6:40 in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCsmQPwxiP8

Thanks very much for sharing, pixelated! The concept art is great and it looks like the ride might be different from the one of the DVD. I hope so.
