Another difference:
When Ursula's magic poiton dives into Melody's foot, her foot becomes at first blue, then yellow, and when her feed change into a tail, you see her feed longer than before ( much more like Ariel s transformation scene in LM I ).
I like the movie better now.

Thanks Daniel for posting the screencaps, I really like the changes. Although I'm still not able to work out what the point was in changing the colour of the upper part of Melody's dress It's not like that was in real need of a change, but oh well Disney does work in mysterious ways. I'm excited now because I've ordered the trilogy boxset off the internet, but obviously to get TLM2:SE I had to order the Region 1 boxset, despite not owning a Multi-regional DVD Player which I was well aware of beforehand, but thought I had better get it before it gets vaulted. So does anyone know if I will be able to play it on my compter despite the region difference, Daniel how did you watch it? If not I will find some way of watching it Thanks again for the screenshots Although I m not Daniel. I can also answer . I played it with the program power dvd on my computer!! You can choose between the regions.

If so what did you think, I've heard all three movies come with slipcovers and a lithiograph each is this true. I've seen photos of the lithiographs, but I'm wondering if you only get them at certain places

I found the make of my DVD and a code so when my Trilogy arrives am going to try it out I'm not allowing myself to watch the trilogy until all my exams and everything are out of the way, and then I'm going to treat myself by watching the complete trilogy in one day, like a mermaid movie marathon

In the box TLM1+2 are without chapter inserts. I realised that they used scenes from TLM II for the TLM1Bonusdiscmenu. Anyone else saw this?

Seeing how it's getting some positive reviews, my chances of trying to rent this movie at Blockbuster are about 90%. I might have to cover ears at some parts, but as long as the quality's much better now than it was in the original, I think I can handle it.
BTW, here's an interesting bit of trivia. The voice actor for Eric in this movie, Rob Paulsen, also voiced Gray Fox from the Metal Gear Series (specifically, The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 4, and his cameo in Super Smash Bros. Brawl).
So... any chance of seeing the change in animation of Melody's transformation?

It was released on UK? because over here it wasn't released and we had Ariel's Beginning and the Trilogy set. Anyway I disagree with you about the cover,UmberllaFish,I think it's one of their best covers.

Well, we rented TLM2, and considering how I'm not in school today (Teacher work day), I might as well try it. It's due back tomorrow, and If I find it ok, I might get it for my birthday tomorrow (Yes, that's right, I'm a valentines kid.).
Due to the bad experience I had when I watched it the first time ever (which was back in Myrtle Beach several years ago for a family reunion), I will make sure I watch the entire thing without sound. Judging by the changes in the artwork of the screenshots and comments, I'd say it will at least be tolerable. (I don't know if they pulled a "redone Mastermind" on us and also changed some lines, how they sounded, but at least I can cope with it now.). I might as well face these inner demons.

@ Pokeria1: How did you like TLM II now? Did you watch it without sound?
Who has bought the new LM II version? Are you more content with it?
I really like it although the movie stays my least favorite in the franchise. It hasn't so much heart as the other two.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to (my memories from years ago clouded my judgement of the here and now). I probably would do it this summer, given the chance. Fortunately, I was able to buy it from Blockbuster a month ago.

just make sure you don't watch it after LM I... Watch it another day Maybe you'd like it then better. It's all right. It has some nice scenes... I really prefer Ariel's beginning from the sequels. Did you watch that one?

Did you watch that one? Well, let me put it this way. The first time I ever watched Return to the Sea (which was at a disney channel showing during a family reunion, I was at least able to get to the point where Morgana complains about the treatment she got from her mom compared to Ursula. The first time, and so far, the only, time I've ever watched Ariel's Beginning, I couldn't even get through the beginning without calling it quits even without sound (mainly due to fear). Of course, seeing how I'm a continuity junkie, I probably would have hated Ariel's Beginning more anyways, seeing how most of that movie completely contradicts the first movie.
