TLM Live Action Film?

Apparently there are currently not one but TWO different live action film adaptations of Andersen's The Little Mermaid in the works! Pretty exciting news Neither of these two films, by separate studios, are based on the Disney film, just to clarify.

Do you think Disney will ever tackle TLM as a live action musical film based on the 1989 film? I think we'll have to wait and see how Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast fares, as that has an all-star cast and is generating a lot of hype and could really be a big success after the less than stellar Cinderella and Maleficent live actions movies (NOT to say these were bad movies, they just didn't really become box office breakers. Maybe the fact they weren't musicals had something to do with it? Not really sure.)

I hope that also Disney make a new live-action version!

BUT Due to Disney's love HATE relationship with the film. not gonna happen soon

'A Little Mermaid' now in post production

Last week, we took you behind the scenes. This week, we have exclusive interviews with the cast and crew of "A Little Mermaid."

The film, based on the Hans Christian Anderson novel, was filmed in Savannah, Tybee, Pooler and Garden City, from March until last Friday. Featuring mermaids and oddities, we caught up with the young woman who plays "Elle," and the crew members to talk about the movie - and Savannah.

"I love this version. It is the best version I've heard because it's set in the 1930's, and I get to wear these cool costumes. We are shooting in Savannah, Georgia, a state just erupting with film and television opportunities. It is great," said Loreto Peralta, "Elle", "A Little Mermaid."

"A Little Mermaid is now in post production, and should hit theaters next year.
