There will be merchandise for the live-action movie, but it's too early for now, the movie will be in theater in 2021. From LaughinPlace: Exclusive: Hasbro Announces Disney Style Series Collector Dolls
Hasbro has announced a brand-new line of collectable fashion dolls based on classic Disney characters. The Disney Style Series will launch on August 1st with three dolls based on three of Disney’s most beloved princess characters. The line promises to deliver a major dose of nostalgia to the fashion crowd by creating unique items that merge your love for your favorite Disney Princess character with some modern, glamorous looks inspired by the latest runway fashion trends.
What’s Happening Hasbro is releasing three collectible dolls on August 1st that reimagine Ariel, Belle, and Mulan in modern fashions to kick off the Disney Style Series. Each doll is sold separately and will retail for $24.99. Designed to appeal to adult fans, particularly those who have grown up with these characters. Rooted eyelashes, detailed fashions, and accessories set these dolls apart from Hasbro’s playline Disney Princess dolls. The line will be available at most major retailers nationwide.
Ariel
The Little Mermaid celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and Ariel is a perfect way to kick off the collection. Her look is inspired by the sea, with shades of seafoam green and purple. Her top looks like pearl beading to pay homage to her iconic seashells. The vibrant purple mermaid-cut skirt is accented by a sheer aqua overlay with more pearls and starfish accents. Accessories include a purple headband, seashell clutch, and stylish heels. The entire look is reminiscent of Ariel’s signature under the sea look, but also that special moment in the film when King Triton turns her back into a human and she emerges from the water in a sparkly purple dress to be reunited with her true love and live out her happily ever after.
Belle
True Beauty and the Beast fans will tell you that Belle’s ball dress is not yellow, it’s gold. Hasbro gets you and Belle’s entrance into the Disney Style Series is a shiny, shimmery gold dress. But they didn’t stop there, because the layered skirt features rose silhouettes in rose gold, which couldn’t be more on-trend and fitting for the character. The shine and shimmer of this doll even extends to her rose-themed accessories, including a handbag, necklace, and shoes. As elegant as she looks, you know she’s waiting to go home, kick off her heels, and cozy up with a good book.
Mulan
Mulan’s modern style is inspired by her matchmaker look and the iconic scene where she and her father have a moment of understanding in their backyard underneath falling cherry blossom petals. Her raspberry dress is cut similar to a short cheongsam or qipao, with a sheer floor-length skirt with flower petal accents. The entire ensemble is tied up with a bright blue bow. Her accessories include a fan-shaped handbag, flower headband, and gold laced heels. When you look at this doll, you hear the memorable line from the film: “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”
The Disney Style Series launches August 1st from Hasbro celebrating timeless Disney Princess characters with modern trendy fashions.

Illustrations for Hasbro's Disney Style Series doll line from Olivia Oh Instagram: Ariel’s modern style is inspired by under-the-sea pearls, starfish and seashells. Her bodice is adorned with pearl artwork, and her purple skirt is a mermaid silhouette. The cascades on her sea foam green overskirt is inspired by the waves of the sea! Belle’s contemporary tea-length dress is inspired by her classic gold princess gown. The iconic rose is carried throughout Belle’s design, from the rose-gold glitter print on her dress, to her rose-shaped accessories. Mulan’s modern design has a floral theme inspired by her iconic princess style. Her color palette is a combination of raspberry red, pink, lavender with navy blue accents. The inspiration is from the beautiful pink blossom tree scene in the animation. The flower petals to pop on her dress, as if they fell from the blossom tree and landed on her skirt.

From WWD: FASHION FASHION SCOOPS Disney Is Turning ‘The Little Mermaid’ Into a Fragrance Fittingly, it smells like the beach. By Layla Ilchi on August 7, 2019 “The Little Mermaid” is getting her own fragrance.
On the heels of the live-action remake of Disney’s “The Lion King,” attention now is turning to another beloved Disney film, “The Little Mermaid.” The 30-year-old animated movie is getting two live-action reboots, one starring musician and actress Halle Bailey — who with sister Chloe perform under the moniker Chloe x Halle — as the titular character. The second is a live-action musical with “Moana” actress Auli’I Cravalho, Queen Latifah and Shaggy to air Nov. 5 on ABC.
In anticipation of both reboots, Disney has teamed up with indie beauty brand DefineMe to collaborate on a series of fragrances that take inspiration from Disney princesses, the first being Ariel. The fragrance features a beach-y scent, blended with ingredients like neroli, bergamot, jasmine and lilac. The bottle takes inspiration straight from Ariel, designed to resemble the character’s green mermaid tail and finished with a shell-like top.
The fragrance, which will retail for $88 for a 75-ml. bottle and $28 for a 9-ml. bottle, will be revealed at Beautycon in Los Angeles on Saturday and will later be available for purchase starting in the fall at Ulta Beauty, DefineMe’s web site, Disney stores and online.

From Bustle: When Does DefineMe's 'The Little Mermaid' Perfume Launch? The Scent Will Make You Embrace Your Inner Ariel By SHEA SIMMONS 20 min ago
Courtesy of DefineMe
No matter how old (or young) you are, there's probably a special place in your heart for Disney. Whether it's Mickey Mouse and his iconic ears or your favorite princess, there's a bit of nostalgia that just tugs at your heart strings. Now, DefineMe's The Little Mermaid perfume is going to summon up those sentimental feels via smell.
First of all, no, this mermaid perfume does not smell like ocean water or a fish's tail. Don't be rude. According to the brand, the The Little Mermaid inspired perfume is much more about Ariel's adventurous and curious personality than the fact that she's, you know, a mermaid. That doesn't mean that the scent doesn't have a beach-like feel to it, though. The brand explains in a press release that the fragrance has notes of citrus and neroli as well as tonka bean, coconut, and driftwood that all work together for a bright and beachy scent.
While the fragrance is obviously the most important part of this Disney Princess-themed perfume, you've also got to see the bottle. The product's packaging takes inspiration from Ariel's famous tail and shows the fins wrapped around the packaging. As for the top, what else could it be but a sea shell like Ariel's own? Basically, it's too cute for words. When can you get your hands on it?
Courtesy of DefineMe Currently, the fragrance doesn't have an official launch date, but the brand does explain that the scent will be launching in fall of this year. Considering that it's now August, fans of Ariel likely don't have much longer to wait to get their hands on the perfume.
As for the price, the DefineMe "The Little Mermaid" fragrance will come in two sizes. The first is a standard 75ml bottle (the mermaid tail one) that'll retail for $88. The second option is a travel sized 28ml spray for $28.
Courtesy of DefineMe DefineMe's The Little Mermaid perfume won't be alone, though. According to the brand, there will be an entire series of Disney princess fragrances on their way. Ariel is simply the first princess to come along. Honestly, though, the timing couldn't be better.
If you've been paying attention to entertainment news lately, you'll know that there's a ton of fanfare surrounding The Little Mermaid. Disney has recently been in the business of remaking its classic animated films. Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book have all been updated, and the next on the list is The Little Mermaid. Just a few weeks ago, the role of Ariel went to actor and singer Halle Bailey of the television show Grownish and group Chloe x Halle where she performs with her twin sister.
That's not the only The Little Mermaid news, though. ABC will be airing a live production of the musical, and news was just released that Auli’i Cravalho will play Ariel. Yes, that Auli’i Cravalho of Moana fame. Apparently, she's such a good Disney princess, they had to cast her twice!
While DefineMe's The Little Mermaid perfume may have nothing to do with the upcoming productions of the classic Disney film, it's certainly looking like the next year will the year of mermaid. If you want to snag the perfect fragrance for your future viewing parties, keep your eyes peel this fall to the DefineMe website to snag your very own Ariel-themed fragrance.

Lately, the beauty industry has allowed Disney-lovers to feel equal parts nostalgic and royal by creating countless Disney Princess-inspired makeup collections. Well, now you can smell like your favorite princess too thanks to the release of DefineMe's Disney Princess Perfumes collection. The indie perfume brand will release a range of perfumes inspired Disney's royal princesses, and the first to be released is the Ariel perfume in celebration of The Little Mermaid's 30th anniversary. So if you're wondering where to buy the DefineMe x Disney Princess Perfumes so you too can smell like royalty, then you're in luck as I've got all of the majestic details for you.
On Aug. 10, DefineMe will reveal the first perfume of the Disney collection at BeautyCon in Los Angeles before it is available for retail. Then, beginning in the Fall, with the exact date still yet to be confirmed, the Ariel perfume will be available on DefineMeFragrance.com, Ulta.com, ShopDisney.com, and in select Disney Stores.
The mermaid-inspired perfume will be available in two sizes: a 75 milliliter bottle and a 9 milliliter travel-size bottle. The larger perfume bottle looks just like Ariel's fins with metallic green scales covering the bottle. It has the name "Ariel" etched in cursive at the top of the bottle and is capped off with an iridescent seashell top. The smaller travel-size bottles are a light, iridescent teal and have an iridescent pearl-colored spray top.
Ariel Perfume $88
Now, if you're wondering what the Ariel perfume smells like, you'd be right to assume that it is a beachy yet intoxicatingly adventurous scent. According to a press release that DefineMe sent to Elite Daily, the fragrance is inspired by the sea, as well as Ariel's natural sense of adventure and curiosity. The top notes include a splash of citrusy neroli and bergamot, while the middle note is a sweet floral scent that includes jasmin and lilac, and the scent that you are left with is a blend of tonka bean, coconut, and driftwood — so you can smell like you've been under the sea.
If you're not familiar with DefineMe perfumes, then you should know that all of the brand's fragrances are cruelty-free and 100% vegan, so you can feel good about wearing its scents on the daily. The large Ariel perfume will retail for $88 and the travel-size perfume will retail for $28 which are both comparable in price to the rest of the DefineMe line.
Travel-Size Ariel Perfume $28
In addition to the Disney Princess perfumes that will be launching soon, DefineMe is best known for their fragrance mists, fragrance hair mists, and fragrance oils — all of which were designed with the understanding between scent and emotion in mind.
While there's no word yet on which Disney Princess will inspire DefineMe's next perfume, you can stayed tune in about the Ariel perfume drop, as well as the proceeding perfumes, by signing up for notifications on the brand's website, and following along on Instagram (@definemefragrance). That way, if you've ever dreamed of being a part of Ariel's world — now you can, no big deal.

In celebration of The Little Mermaid's 30th anniversary, Disney has partnered up with indie beauty brand DefineMe to create an entire Disney Princess Perfume Collection, and you don't have to sell your voice to a sea witch to get your hands on the first fragrance: Princess Ariel perfume. Modelled after Ariel's tail, the scaly turquoise bottle will feature an ocean's worth of mermaid-inspired scents, including citrusy neroli, bergamot, jasmine, lilac, tonka bean, coconut, and driftwood.

The fragrance will make its official debut at BeautyCon in Los Angeles on Aug. 10. Beginning in Fall of this year, the Princess Ariel perfume will also be for sale at DefineMe, Ulta.com, and ShopDisney.com and in participating Disney stores in two sizes: a nine-milliliter bottle for $28 and a 75-milliliter bottle for $88.
As if mermaid perfume wasn't enough to get excited about, ABC recently announced an upcoming live-action Little Mermaid stage performance starring Moana's Auli'i Cravalho as Ariel. A live-action reboot of the film is also in the works, featuring a star-studded cast, including Harry Styles as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, and Halle Bailey of Chloe x Halle as Princess Ariel. From Allure: SKIN My Poor, Unfortunate Soul Needs This Little Mermaid Skin-Care Collection Disney teamed up with H2O+ on one epic collaboration, and it's coming soon.
BY KALEIGH FASANELLA August 8, 2019
Disney has been on quite the roll when it comes to beauty collaborations this year. However, the streak has been mainly about makeup — like M.A.C.'s Aladdin collection and Luminess's The Lion King launch with Sir John, both of which debuted this summer and were huge hits. And then, of course, there was the Little Mermaid makeup collection from UStar Cosmetics, which made a major splash in the spring. Now, though, Disney is dipping its toes into the world of complexion care with H2O+, and it's shaping up to be the entertainment empire's best beauty collaboration yet.
This October, Disney will debut a new three-piece collection with skin-care brand H2O+ inspired by none other than The Little Mermaid. But it's not just inspired by the movie; it also celebrates its 30th anniversary, which coincides with H2O+'s 30th anniversary. "In recognition of these milestones, we’re launching a limited-edition collection featuring Ariel herself," reads a statement in the press release sent to Allure.
The line is set to include H2O+'s best-selling Elements Keep It Fresh Face Cleanser($26), its Oasis Hydrating Beauty Essence ($46), and its Oasis Hydrating Treatment ($44) gel moisturizer, with each product featuring illustrations of Ariel on the packaging.
For anyone unfamiliar with the products, here's a quick primer: the Elements Keep It Fresh Face Cleanser is gentle, ultra-hydrating, and infused with nourishing sunflower seed oil, water lily extract, and cleansing apple amino acids. It's especially ideal for normal and dry skin types. As for the brand's essence, it works by softening the skin and prepping it for moisturizer with ingredients like red algae extract, water lily, and seagrass extracts, and a blend of ceramides.
To top it all off, its gel moisturizer locks everything with its dual-hydration technology, which aids in both replenishing the skin and protecting its barrier. Like the other products, it also contains water lily extract for maximum hydration. When used together, these products are amazing at calming and cooling dry or distressed complexions.
If you're eager to get your hands on this collection, we certainly don't blame you, but sadly you'll have to wait until October 5, which is when they'll be available exclusively at shopdisney.com and Disney Resort shops. Needless to say, definitely set those reminders and mark your calendars — you'd be a poor, unfortunate soul if you missed this collaboration.
