Putting TLM2 aside, what do you like to think happened after Ariel got her happy ending with Eric?I'd like to think that Ariel still had time to go back to the sea and be with her family and friends... especially Flounder! I can never watch the end of the movie without thinking "but what about Flounder?!" At least Triton and the sisters still have eachother, but he's all alone. So I think the most important thing for me is that Flounder was happy and not lonely or scared. I also hope Ariel continued to have loads of fun adventures, on land and under the sea.

Well, I think that there was time between Ariel and Eric getting married and in that time, Ariel stayed on land but was able to visit Atlantica a few times at least. But after their marriage, Ariel and Eric were monarchs and were too busy for frequent visits to Atlantica. However, I wholeheartedly believe that she was in constant contact with her family and friends through visits at the beach or correspondence. She couldn't have been completely cut off from them, that would be awful. But still, she was starting a new life with a great love and I think that definitely meant a long absence from Atlantica.

It’s nice to think of her going back to visit the sea but her marriage always seemed like a transition in her life to me. She wasn’t a kid anymore. She had to make tough decisions to find her true love. She has to say good-bye to her old life and begin her new one. It’s really sad but that’s the way life is.
It’s kind of depressing thinking about it like that but it gives the movie more emotion and reality. IMO

Well,I also think that she had fun on land but something like the stories in Cinderella II,she didn't had adventures on land like she had under the sea,I mean-she did also visited other kingdom but it's not like the adventure she had in the series at all,but when she visits the sea (and Triton turns her into a mermaid, and maybe Eric also becomes a merperson so he can visit Atlantica too) she had adventure like she met Eric.

Yeah, I don't think she turned back into a mermaid and went to visit Atlantica. I think she still saw them, like her family and such came to the surface to see her, but she couldn't go see them. And I'm sure she still had tons of adventures on land, but yeah, not as ridiculously awesome as her under water adventures.

Well, I have a fan fiction idea I haven't used much. Being a daughter of Triton, Ariel has eternal youth. Triton also conferred this gift on her friends (Sebastian, Flounder, Gabriella and Urchin). I made this up so Ariel could exist in the twentieth century and meet my favorite Disney characters. Here's Ariel and my other favorite Disney redhead: In case you're wondering, another gift of Triton was the ability to change from mermaid to human whenever she wants. Also, she can breathe underwater in her human form. Ariel can also create this ability for other merpeople, although only Gabriella, Urchin and Silva have received it so far. SilvaThis one was inspired by the Little Mermaid trailer of Lilo and Stitch.

The Lilo and Stitch picture is funny those trailers were funny, they should have made it about more movies XD. Thanks. Official Crossovers between my favorite characters are rare. The Kim Possible pictures are.. weird Kim better run before Eric finds her. Sometimes I'm surprised how people misinterpret an innocent hug! And sorry to burst your bubble, but Kim and company will never know Eric in my fanworks. Even though I don't mention it (because it's depressing), Eric passed on long ago. That's a problem with relationships with those who have eternal youth. Besides, I'm going with a whole Girl Power theme here. It's hard to make strong female heroine messages if they have a boyfriend. Not impossible, but very hard! You don't know want to know what someone said about a pic I did of Kim hugging Bonnie (there was a subtext about Bonnie's sisters crushing her feelings, so I had Kimmee hug Bonnie to make her feel better, since I can't hug Bonnie in person). The second Ariel and Kim pic is part of a Disney themed sig pic I did. I reasoned it would be painful for Ariel if Kim was wearing shoes.

I forgot to say that I like your picture,You"re very talented . I was joking about Eric but a hug like that might worry him,or Kim XDDD. Eric died? then she's after Edward from Enchanted now?. Well,I never seen any episode of Kim Possible but I might will is it good?. I really should made a fanart of Enchanted/Little Mermaid croosover, and maybe also Little Mermaid/Sleeping Beauty one .

Ariel being how she is, so loyal and loving to her friends, there is no doubt in my mind that she went back to Atlantica every so often. And Random Prince, I've always thought about Flounder being left, but he still had Ariel's sisters, and Sebastian, and all the people he met in the series And I think that Ariel would have had a connection made from the sea into the palace that enabled Flounder to swim up and visit, much like the second movie, where there is a stream running from the palace to the sea, but in the beginning of the marriage, it would not be divided by a wall. Just my thoughts !

I think her family & friends could come to the surface to see her or Ariel would visit Atlantica once in a while

I forgot to say that I like your picture,You"re very talented . Thanks. I'm glad you appreciate it. I work on more crossover pics from time to time. Eric died? then she's after Edward from Enchanted now?. Well, I imagine Ariel is sort of in mourning for Eric. Her first love and all that. So, after he passed on, she wasn't interested in finding another. Well,I never seen any episode of Kim Possible but I might will is it good?. Well, it was up until So The Drama. It's my personal opinion, but having Kim and Ron become a "couple" killed half the fun. But if you ignore the Kim/Ron dating, it's still good. Personally, I believe that Kim Possible is the best show released by Disney ever! It's one of those shows I don't mind watching over and over again. It has drama, comedy, wit and appeals to adults as well as children. I really should made a fanart of Enchanted/Little Mermaid croosover, and maybe also Little Mermaid/Sleeping Beauty one . That would be interesting to see. If I didn't have so much fanart to do (between my major Disney franchises), I would expand into these areas.

Hm, I don't like thinking about it... haha! I like thinking that they lived happily ever after... THE END. I don't know, I just prefer to remember Ariel and Eric being in love, that special young love. Not being settled down with a kid. You know? Probably not, I'm just weird like that.
But as some people have said, I would like to have thought Ariel could return to the sea whenever she pleased. Not being forced to stay on land. And maybe be able to bring Eric along with her or something. I would just have liked to have Ariel keep that spark of youth that she had in the original.

Flounder wouldn't be alone, him and Sebastian have their friendship! I always loved when those two paired up to help Ariel. I'm sure Flounder frequented the palace, giving advice to Triton when going over the daily business with Sebastian. As for Ariel and Eric I could really die from all the things they could have done between the wedding and TLM2. Although the idea of her having a daughter is great, and Melody has grown on me, I wish TLM2 had been the third movie and TLM3 had been the fourth and final. Ariel wouldn't get into as much trouble as she could communicate with Eric and he'd be constantly explaining things..but to almost no avail as Ariel would be too interested in DOING them than hearing about them. I mean it IS a whole new world for her. It would be like the Tour of the Kingdom scene extended. I'd love to see her race Eric on horseback over hills overlooking the sea. She'd taunt Eric saying he couldn't catch her, but he would, then they'd gallop side by side into the sunset. If they became King and Queen(TLM Broadway when talking about Eric finding a bride, Grimbsy mentions 'you're fathers dying wish') then they'd be busy with royal duties, like you sort of see them in TLM2 (perhaps that's a couple years or so after the wedding, and shortly after his parents die?) Ariel got pretty mature for a moment but in the end of TLM2 you see she's a whole new Ariel, mature and adult but still that wonderfully energetic, enthused red head. During the time when they're still newly weds after fully exploring the kingdom and Ariel meeting the castle staff/kingdom nobility(I'm sure there would be room for many stories) Eric would probably go back out to sea a couple times, leaving Ariel behind except for once, maybe twice. Although Ariel loves the sea she probably wouldn't love being stuck on a ship with nothing to do. So you'd have more stories of her adventures on land without Eric. I'm sure she keeps in touch with scuttle who in turn keeps in touch with Flounder who in turn keeps in touch with Atlantica; even if news didn't travel too fast it would be about the same as good old snail mail. I like to think Ariel starts a collection of things she finds on the beach, like that Disney TV movie with Tim Allen where his son and him have that wall covered in beach findings. Very sweet. As for Triton, he'd visit once in a blue moon and only so as he has his own kingdom to run. He turns up at Eric's castle in TLM2 because at the beginning there's a disaster and at the end it's a huge celebration. I'd guess he's still a little partial on humans, even if Ariel "brought sexy back" with that music box lol. As for the sisters, Arista I'd guess would visit the surface a couple times but probably not as a human. She mentioned in the episode her and Ariel were grounded that she was jelous of Ariel's adventures and since Arista is the youngest besides Ariel she has her own stories to tell. Attina would never get legs as it would be a bit frivolous and not worth her time as she's basically an apprentice to Triton (it wasn't made obvious when watching TLM3 but if you think about it I bet Attina always resented the fact Triton loved her so much because she looked like their mother when Attina was the one who took her position as care taker to her sisters and tries so hard to be like him). Andrina..might go human for a day but only if majority ruled, she tends to sort of go with the flow sometimes, especially if Allana is involved(but wouldn't be interested, she'd probably be missing a party somewhere out on the reef ). Aquata and Adella....Aquata probably not as she's more observant than actually participating. Same with Adella though I'm sure both of them would looove to hear Ariel's stories about the world above, as would the other sisters. I like to think there was a moment soon after the wedding where Triton and the sisters joined Ariel on the beach somewhere (maybe she joined them as a mermaid for this special moment) and had another recolection of Athena. I'd love to see all the sisters sitting around the lagoon in the beginning of TLM3 all on that same rock thinking of their mom, and breaking out in song^^ haha I feel like a nerd, but proud of it!
