I know TLM is my favorite but if someone is watching a Disney movie for the first time they should go with the classics like Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

No shocker, I would pick TLM over anything else. Second would be Lion King. Seeing those two films over anything else IMO, will make you fall in love with Disney.

TLM, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story 1 and 2, Bambi, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Dumbo, Mary Poppins, Wall-E, and Tarzan. My sister would reccommend Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. My brother's friend would suggest Cars. We all suggest Enchanted

da**!!! It's hard to choose, I've seen ALL of these movies!!! I would recommend the classics to anyone, if any, who have never seen a Disney movie.....and I can't imagine anyone who hasn't.

Gee, are boys really that picky? I'm a girl and I can handle a non-romantic movie.
Okay for boys=Emperor's New Groove, Pinnochio, Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, any Pixar movie, the Three Cabelleros, Peter Pan, and any movie done by Pixar.
For Girls=The Little Mermaid and everything else.

I recommend every movie for all genders. Disney movies were created for everyone. I don't think Disney movies are meant to be gender specific.
It's not fair to call The Little Mermaid a "girl's movie," nor is it fair to call Emperor's New Groove an "boy's movie." You shouldn't buy into the mainstream bias that boys should only like a certain thing like cars, explosions, and boogers, or that girls are all dainty princesses who are romantically obsessed and need a man to be saved.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. It set the standard for animation.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. It set the standard for animation. I agree. Even though I'm on a TLM forum, I think it's safe to say that without Snow White there would be no Disney. As for Princess Movies, I would have to say that, even though one could argue that they are dated, you'd probably need to see the Trio of Classic Disney Princesses before any other movie: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty.

I think either The Lion King or Beauty and The Beast Both represent the magic of Disney Magnificently..
