I saw this posted on another Disney message board, and after watching I was sooo confused...here you guys go..This is @ Universal Studios Japan
When you first start watching this you see Elmo,Snoopy, Hello Kitty, and pure randomness. Then it turns into their own versions of "Alice in Wonderland". "Arabian Nights". and "Cinderella". Um, I know these are classic stories, but Disney is is the one who has done these stores, marketed them, and have them as the foundation for their entire company?
It is so random too..Snoopy..Elmo..then this whole Disney theme? What the heck? I have to give them credit though the show is pretty awesome goes as far as the lights and technical stuff but it is such a slap in the face. Doesn't Universal have their own characters?

That parade looks pretty cool, but yeah, they totally stole the concept from Disney and weren't at all subtle about it. The sad thing is they probably did a better job! However, I have absolutely no desire to go and experience that parade after having a quick look at the video. Like I said it's cool, but that's it. At least Disney's version is a showcase of established and beloved movies and characters; it has sentimental value. This Universal parade is really just a load of lights without much meaning when all said and done.

Exactly. I was quite impressed with the technical aspects of it, but for them to steals those concepts was really pointless. It has no meaning whatsoever you are right. You can't try and substitute Disney magic, it's impossible!
