Even worse than the last trailer. I'm not looking forward to that movie. It kinda reminds me of the Swan Princess but worse. Good to see Ariel in there though.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie the trailer left me feeling pretty bad. I don't know the whole idea of her becoming a frog too? That's just bleh I don't know. Something doesn't feel right. I wonder if it's just the like scenes they used it made it look like a slapstick comedy. I wonder if TLM would of looked stupid if they just showed the moments where something dumb happens to Scuttle or Sebastian. Honestly, from this trailer is just looks like dumb things happen to an obnoxious frog. From the trailer I didn't get what the "heart" of the film is about which is what makes these Disney films so magical. I'm hoping they just didn't show us this and the movie turns out to be great. I am going to remain neutral though, I don't want to end up disappointed.

You could be right that it's just bad choice of clips, but I'm just not interested any more. I feel like I've given Disney enough chances to redeem themselves and I don't believe it's going to happen any time soon. I will always love the Disney I grew up with, but I'm not planning on going to see this movie.

I had missed every seeing every preview on television. I'm excited about this movie! I missed traditional animation from Disney!

I got the trailer on iTunes.
Admittedly, the referencing all the other Disney classic films is worrying.
But I hope they manage to do a good job with this one. I am going to see it.
Mind you, I suspect, like ALL of their recent successes, someone else did the hard work (Pixar for example) and Disney just distributed it.
That's all they are now, a glorified courier service.

I was barely able to watch the trailer when I went with a friend to see "Up" (speaking of which, considering how Wall-E was given a thread, I'm surprised no one made a thread about it yet.). the fact that she once pounded the frog gave me a bad premonition that they might, indeed keep the original fairytale ending to the source fairytale (You know, throwing the frog into a wall, critically hurting it, then it becomes a prince, then the princess marries him just because he's handsome.). Not to mention the stupidity of some of the scenes, as you've mentioned. I was hoping that they won't keep the ending, but apparantly, they did.
Her becoming a frog seemed very similar to the ending of "the Frog Prince again".
Though at least it was better than the shock I received AFTER the movie ended.

The beginning gave me goosebumps with the whole Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast clips. haha! Anyway, I think it looks like it'll be alright. I agree with Random saying it looks similar to the Swan Princess, I thought of that right when the frog started taking, and then with the swirling water. I just hope they're not frogs throughout the entire movie, I've never really been a big fan of the animal Disney movies; Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, Jungle Book... etc. I know, that makes me sound like a terrible Disney fan, but I prefer the traditional romances with, well, humans. haha! But it looks like it'll be cute, I'll definitely see it.

Meh...
the only good thing about the trailer is the beginning when it shows the actual good Disney films lol.
I'll see the movie just to see it...but the storyline seems kinda blah to me.

I think it was a really great movie.
I was surprised myself, it's like the Disney greats from their best time.
Definitely worth seeing!!!

I haven't seen it yet (I'd rather wait until it is made available for rental before I risk seeing it). However, from what I've read of the plotline, it seemed to be good enough of a movie.
When I read how Facillier [spoilers]was killed[/spoilers], I instantly thought back to Ghost.
I'm also perfectly glad that they didn't keep the original ending (the Princess was... not very nice to the frog when she got him to transform, to put it simply, and only married him due to his good looks.)
I do have some gripes, however. Namely some of the false advertizing in the movie in regards to Tiana. It mentioned some things that made her the strongest Disney Princess yet, yet I really didn't see anything that would make her even stronger than them. She still needed help from her friends to break the curse, she doesn't have superhuman strength (then again, only Ariel has that), and she's already been in the same situations as the other Princesses. If someone can care to explain why they said that, go on ahead.
Darn, why isn't there any spoiler tags?!

So, I have gone to see this movie twice in theaters and enjoyed both showings! I'd love to give a lengthy review, but shall spare you. But honestly, the movie was amazing. Before going to see it I had... lets say medium expectations. I knew it couldn't match TLM or BATB, but I also knew it couldn't possibly be as bas as some of the sequels that have come out recently. The movie exceeded my expectations and officially restored my faith in Disney. It gave me goosebumps in certain parts! And the music was just amazing. None of those overly sappy songs, or ones that go on far too long, just perfect! The characters were wonderful as well. From the previews I had seen I thought that the alligator Louis was going to annoy me, but he didn't! Same goes for the lightning bug Ray, and Ma ma Odie. I definitely suggest people go out to see it ASAP! It was worth the ticket for sure. I mean, obviously it was to me since I saw it twice. XD

I haven't seen the movie ( I don't think I'll ever get the chance to see the movie. Nobody wanted to see it with me) but the story looks interesting. I thought the idea of her being turned into a frog was clever. I'm sure Tiana and Naveen would be much more likeable than the couple from the original "Frog Prince." Disney is very good at making their couples very likeable.
