I think ArielnMelody had posted this book on here before on the scans section. From what I've read of it, it's a good book. Heck, it even had characters from the TV series, which proves that even Disney felt that Ariel's Beginning wasn't canon with the lexicon. Athena may be canon, however.
I do wish that Disney try to make a series of books, however. I think they should entail a new villain (none of the books taking place between TLM and RttS seemed to have one), and also one that breaks he mold about the villain wanting to conquer Atlantica or the Sea (IE, have the villain be one that is both a complete monster and chaotic evil [as in, desires the absolute destruction of everything and does unforgivable acts such as mass murder and turning the planet into a living he**]). It would be a fresh start from the overused conquest rule hungry villain they have used, and it would also allow a TLM book that both follows the continuity of the movie without needing to rehash it, as well as to get a villain to actually top Ursula. Did I mention that she [the villain, I mean] would end up truly being Ariel's archenemy (I mean, honestly, the villains we've encountered were either direct Archenemies of Triton or Sebastian, or they weren't really much of an archenemy at all.).
I'm thinking utilizing Vanessa would work, and actually rework her into a demon. Heck, it would at least work in further explaining the sinking of Atlantis (because I doubt that Atlantis sunk just because a Sharkanian foolish person prince removed a crystal dome over an otherwise dormant volcano.), and it might explain the origin of Ursula's Magical Nautilus in universe [the TLM Broadway doesn't count, as it detracted from most of the movie].
Well, let's hope it's good. As long as it's not an advertizing ploy for the Disney Princess franchise [honestly, like Random Prince once said, the personalities were ruined all in favor of marketing beauty products.], I won't mind Snow White being added into it.
EDIT: Never mind, it was the aquamarine jewel that she posted, not this one.
