I'd like to have the fourth part dealing with Ariel swimming to the surface for the first time! She starts to collect the "treasures" in her liar and we get to know more about Ursula's banishment.
It would be allright if the fourth movie would deal about Melody and Ariel who have to go back to the sea to support King Triton in a fight.
If another part is made, I could imagine that it would be filmed in 3-D.

There won't be anymore sequels coming out thank god!! I really wish that dumb Disney did NOT make the sequel and prequel to the TLM. It ruined the first movie, the characters, and all the fun memories I had from the first movie before the crummy sequels came out. In TLM2, it was cute that Ariel and Eric had a daughter but the storyline was stupid, Ariel and Eric were mean and shallow, Melody was annoying, and Morgana and the other sidekicks were lame! Extremely lame. I don't like the prequel so much b/c like everybody else said, it doesn't follow the events prior to the first movie and the tv series. I also, don't like how they messed up the birth order of the sisters and the personalities. The storyline was also lame. I don't care about the music-is-banned thing! I only care about why Ursula got banished (Although, my sister and I already know that she got banished for trying to steal Triton's throne for power), how did Ariel become fascinated with humans, and a more graphic and scarier version of how Queen Athena was brutally murdered by pirates.

About the reason for Ursula's banishment, wasn't it covered in the TLM episode "Heroes"?
I think I'll agree about the Athena's death idea you had. In fact, I was thinking of inserting a similar concept into my TLM fanfic "Heart of Darkness".
The human thing was kinda explained in "Thingmajigger", as Ariel initially feared humans in that episode. In fact, it wasn't until she witnessed a human release a Dolphin that she stopped fearing humans.
I didn't really think that Ariel or Eric were "mean" in TLM2. I mean, actually, the only time they actually seemed nasty was right when they found out that Melody dove underwater, beyond the wall. It was for a somewhat good reason, though, though they could have tried to handle it better.
I'll agree on Morgana, though. They REALLY should have tried to make her seem threatening (Heck, maybe make her seem like Cooler from DBZ.).
Also, the Storyline may have been... better written, to say the least, but it was at least far better written than the Prequel. I mean, not only did it come up with a very generic plot ("banning music"? Come on! Even the TV series doesn't do those kinds of plots.), but they completely contradicted not only the TV series, but also the first movie in itself.
As for my ideas for a Sequel/Prequel, I think the THIRD TLM movie should have a demon being awakened, and threatening to destroy all of existance (Read, "Vanessa Unleashed"), and maybe a Prequel that completely ignores AB (save for Athena's death, and even then it would be changed to have her more brutally murdered.), and it's plotline would probably be similar to Mega Man ZX.

True the prequel is very bad but so is TLM2. I felt like the second movie was too much of a repeat of the first movie's storyline. I wish they did a different storyline that has NOTHING to do with someone wanting to be a different kind of species b/c they don't fit in with others who look like them and has a bad guy that is as threantening and evil as Ursula. Ariel's desire to be part of human world was 10000 times more interesting than Melody's desire to be a mermaid.

Uhh... when I said the "written better" part in regards to how TLM2 may have been, I was meaning it could have been done better than it had. And I wasn't saying it was uber great (heck, I couldn't even bear to watch it the first time I saw it.). I was only saying that it's better than the Prequel.

When will the new Enchanted Tale -DVD be released? I heard after this one, there might be a new Ariel-story. The latest I heard Enchanted Tales: Volume II (which was to be titled "Honesty" and starred Cinderella and Mulan) had been cancelled with no exact reason behind it, so I don't know if Ariel will ever get an Enchanted Tales apperance afterall

The animation for Aurora's half of the dvd was really awful. Jasmine's wasn't too bad if you remembered the tv show as it seemed so similar, but still it was far from Disney worthly credit. They really need to learn to put their all into every single project they produce >.<

Yeah, I was wondering about that Enchanted Tales DVD. I thought they said TLM III was the last direct-to-video prequel or sequel that Disney was making? Anyway, it would be nice if they made a couple more movies( IF they didn't botch everyone's personalities like in TLM II *shudder*). Ariel's Beginning wasn't done nearly as well as I had hoped. Seriously, banning music? And I hated what they did to Triton. He missed out on ten years of his daughters' lives because of his grief. Flounder was all wrong--and they completely disregarded "In Harmony"( which I suppose I should have seen coming, because now Disney basically ignores anyone old enough to have seen the series to please a younger audience ). And Attina isn't the oldest--Aquata is! The only parts I really enjoyed were the ones with Athena and "I Remember" ( I was nearly crying when I first heard the song ). Nevertheless I wish I would have bought it. Stupid Disney putting everything in the vault

But the thing about TLM is that people actually learned from their experiences along the way and grow. After all that; Ariel and Eric would SERIOUSLY consider what they were doing with Melody. She's their kid! Of course she's going to question things and have her own thoughts. XD LOL True, people do make mistakes. However this was so poorly done that premise was lost in meaning. TLM2 was a cheap, rushed way of ripping off their original idea. The execution was... bad. There was no where near the thought or love that was placed into the first one. imho That's how I felt about TLM2 and TLM3! I would have prefered they left the script on the desk.... As for TLM3; I missed the old Arista! XD I didn't like that they made her so ditsy, and Flounder was all wrong. XD I know how you feel, fridamoonbeam. I would have felt better if Disney leaves it up to my imagination to wonder about Ariel/Eric's lives after the first movie and before it.

If I were the director/writer I would center LM IV shortly after Ariel's marriage. It would be about how Ariel tries to get used to the life as a human (she makes a lot of funny mistakes) and how she misses Atlantica. There would be a new villain, trying to find out what's wrong with this girl. Although Eric always comforts her, Ariel is homesick of Atlantica, she misses her sisters and her father. Eric then suggests that they both should visit Atlantica. The sneeky villain listenes to his words, and thus the safety of Atlantica is endangered. King Triton transforms both to mermaid & merman. . Under the sea they are experiencing a new adventure together, trying to hide Atlantica from the villain and his fellows.
