Did you keep the Ariel ornament after eating the cake? It looks like it was solid.
And now I am wondering what flavor the cake is. I assume icing only adds color, not taste.
Also wondering what flavor you could make or invent that would invoke the "taste of the ocean". Well, in an edible way, I doubt a heavy salted cake would be pleasant to eat! Not unless you were a mermaid.......
I always think of that scene from Aquamarine (she's a mermaid) where she drinks salty water on a regular basis and when a normal human tries it, it's revolting! And trust me, it is, I tried it once out of curiosity, you will be spitting the water out.......

Oh yes it was a yummy way to celebrate a half century the only real high point The cake standard Ice Cream cake crisps The Figurine is a staple at many places that sell character cakes when they have Ariel
Some point will find a place for it with all my other gadgets gizmos whosits and whatsits
Perhaps Salted Caramel died blue for ocean?
By the way The place I bought it at has "interesting " flavors such as Fig and Honey Cookie Monster Coconut Avacado Velvet Goat Cheese
(That is NOT a typo)
