I have been subscribed to Disney+ for about a month now and have noticed some odd content inconsistencies. The first was when I tried to find the first half of the Bunk'd/Raven's Home crossover, it's not there! I can't make sense of why they'd host only half the episode. Then I tried to watch the Marvel Uprising mini series, two missing episodes right in the middle of the story Arc! Also confused. Still waiting for the few remaining Elena of Avalor episodes to be hosted, they are not available at this time. They do have the full series of the cartoon: I hope they keep this hosted on their server permanently, so I can watch the episodes whenever I want. They aren't stored on the box, just watched, so if Disney takes the episodes off the server, they can't be viewed anymore.

On my service, it appears all Sofia the First episodes are hosted: Elena of Avalor though: It's even worse then I remembered, all of season 3 is missing! I've seen most of the season because it aired on Disney Channel shortly before it was taken away, so it is unusual that the replacement service can't supply what the original did. Disney bought Fox Studios? Migrating Anastasia would be nice if that means they own it now, but I suspect that was done to resolve the Marvel/Fox conflict regarding ownership of movie rights, re: X-Men. In a nutshell (go away Tippy Toe!), because Fox owned the exclusive movie rights to X-Men, it meant that franchise was not covered under the acquistion of Marvel by Disney. Marvel and Fox have been fighting a lot about it, to the point where Marvel actually wrote out the X-Men from their comics in hostile retaliation.

I've noticed this as well. The missing content all over comes from a variety of reasons. The majority of episodes of Andi Mack are not present, and this is due to very disturbing allegations brought forward about an actor in the series, wherein which Disney had to remove every episode featuring that actor (unfortunately, this is most of them). Disney has an image to uphold of course, and it would be inappropriate for Disney to host content with that actor due to these allegations. There may be other actors who have been alleged to act inappropriately who Disney no longer wishes to associate themselves with, which may explain more of the missing content on the service. Additionally, there are some episodes of some shows that delve into topics/themes/issues/jokes that would be exceedingly insensitive in current times, which have also been removed to avoid possible offense. This seems like a difficult standard to uphold, I mean it is an unfortunate truth that there's very blatant insensitivity towards many different cultures in a lot of classic Disney films, many of which actually do still exist on Disney Plus (we'll never get any sort of release of Song of the South, not even for historical preservation nor to admire James Baskett's history-making Academy Award winning performance. Disney has a weird relationship with this property. I wish they wouldn't sweep it under the rug and actually own up to their past mistakes. I do appreciate the re-theming of Splash Mountain into a Princess and the Frog ride, though I still believe Tiana deserves an entirely original ride and restaurant in the Parks, but the re-theme is still at least a step in the right direction, as much as I enjoyed the ride prior I understand why it would need to be changed). Anyway, there have been a lot of cultural insensitivities in movies that Disney Plus does host and all Disney has done about that is write a small Content Advisory before viewing the film warning about how standards were different back then with a link to this page: storiesmatter.thewaltdisneycompany.com/Some other episodes of shows have been removed due to random copyright issues, while others some have seemingly no real reason as to why they've been omitted. As with The Little Mermaid the Series, they've actually omitted the pilot episode Whale of a Tale which introduces Spot! yet the other episode with Spot (Save the Whale) remains, and they've listed episode 2 (The Great Sebastian) as the first episode, when it is not. And I have no clue as to why. I read speculation from another forum that it could be a rights issue, as it is a pilot episode and was made for CBS who technically own that episode but don't own the rest in the series (for a second there I thought that Disney owned CBS but I guess not), though I don't know any more than that or if all that's even true.

According to the notes I consulted, all of the original Little Mermaid series was owned by CBS initially, so I am uncertain why one episode alone would be excluded, but the rest of the series is hosted. CBS is a subsidiary of National Amusements and not owned by Disney. Unusually, CBS now has an controlling interest in Australian tv, apparently they own 10 Network.
I am more then a fair bit irritated with CBS at the moment, they're just making bad Trek shows to keep leeching off that fanbase. And they're giving orders to the Development Team of Star Trek Online to make those shows the focus of the game content updates, probably for promotional purposes. I find this tiresome because I didn't enjoy the newer shows to begin with, now imagine a game I am playing forcing those stories into my gameplay experience.
Also, this might be having an flow-on effect, regarding my failed mission to watch an older sci-fi kids series, Wild Kat (owned by 10 Network). I contacted them a few days ago to find out if I could watch this show and they said "they have no plans to ever include kids television on their subscription service". I guess CBS is telling them only to cater to the people who like watching drama or other mature themed shows. If that supposition is true, I've got one more reason to be annoyed with CBS......
