Summery: One of Disney’s most famous villainesses reflects on the eve of her triumph. HIGHLY inspired by the musical “Wicked”. Some direct quotes, but I wont say which ones. Those of you who know the musical will find them easily, and those who don’t will not be spoiled.
I will say that the last two lines ARE from “Wicked”, and are not my own creation. That being said, this isn’t a direct copy of the musical (which I adore, as you can see by my username), I simply took tiny pieces and tweaked them to suit my needs.
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not Eisner/Igor, Not Maguire, not anybody officially affiliated with TLM or “Wicked” in anyway. Please don’t sue.

It really was astounding just how well things had fallen into place. The boy had really been as stalwart, honest, and true as the little princess had imagined-which made him the perfect pawn. Genuinely good people with nothing to hide seldom had much in the way of mental defense. All the better for her.
Self-same princess was most likely crying her distraught little heart out right now. Pathetic. Stupid girl had never even guessed the plot she had become a part of. Oh, she hadn't been without her reservations; she wasn't quite that stupid. Naive, but hardly unintelligent. Of course the little idiot had bet everything on the fact that "true luuurve" would conquer all.
Anybody with any sense knew that love was a weakness, a luxury even the mightiest of kings hadn’t been able to retain. Love was something easily exploited, pointless except as a means to an end.
*Well, what are you cooking in that cauldron of yours?*
'A way to turn you into something that doesn’t talk so much. Now hush! I need to concentrate.'
He chuckled.
*You’d miss me before long.*
'I’d miss you like a guppy misses a shark...'
*Here. It’s for you. I know it isn’t much, but I want you to have something to remember me by.*
'No, it’s beautiful! But why would I need something to remember you by? You’re right here.'
*And here’s where I want to stay forever, but Fate may have other plans for us.*
'What do I care about Fate!'
He chuckled, as he always did.
*Well far be it for me to contradict the almighty sorceress.*
'You’d better believe it...'
But sometimes Fate played dirty.
'No! Let him go!'
SILENCE, WITCH!
'If it’s a Witch you want, then I’ll give you a Witch!...'
'I’m done playing by the rules. I’m finished with trying to do good when everyone wants me to be wicked. Never again will I try help another without getting something in return. From now on I am the SEA WITCH, and if you want my aid you’ll pay a high price. And one day I will have power over everything-even life and death. I swear on your grave, love. No good deed will I do again!'
She opened her eyes. This was no time to reminisce. She had things to do-to princes, kings, and little mermaids.
And as she wrapped one hand around the conch shell he had given her all those years ago, Ursula looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled a humorless smile.
(Alone and loveless here, just the girl in the mirror
Just her and me, Wicked Witch of the [Sea].)
