The following are rules to live by while here at LittleAriel Forum, please read them carefully:
1. Post only pictures that are appropriate for all ages.
Edited 2. Make sure to keep LAF a place for all fans to enjoy! Please make sure you are using language that is appropriate for all ages. If this is violated, any word deemed inappropriate will be modified. This pertains to swear words, profanities, mature language/topics, slurs, etc. Inappropriate vocabulary will be caught and censored by the auto-moderating program that exists on the forum, so not all censoring will be made manually by the mods. Do let us know if the computer made any errors or censored something that was indeed appropriate. LAF Staff members would rather not have to censor, so please think and re-read what you've written before you post to make sure it is something all users would be comfortable with reading! If you have any questions about what sort of language is allowed, please message an LAF mod or admin!
Edited 3. Do not discuss sexual content, drugs, drinking, or serious personal matters (this is not therapy forum). If you would like to post something that would be a good addition to a forum discussion but may have more mature content, PLEASE run it by an admin in PM!.
4. Differing opinions are OK, but fighting is not. No flame wars. Also if you do have a difference of opinion, be mature about it and not rude or condescending to whomever you disagree with.
5. Please do not SPAM (Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages). Do not post multiple times in row to boost your post count. This also includes double posting and posts that just say "bump".
6. Naming calling, racism, or prejudice will not be tolerated. Anyone who does anything like this will be immediately banned.
7. If you see something you find offensive in the boards; just PM a staff member and it will be taken care of quickly. Do not publicly display your distaste on the board or directly to the person. Let a staff member handle it.
8. Please refrain from constantly posting "hollow messages". What we mean by that is try to post more than just "lol", "That's awesome", or "Great job". We'd like to see your posts have more substance!
9. Before posting a new thread, please take quick look around make sure it already hasn't been posted.
10. :'( Be respectful to the moderators/global moderators/ administrators/LAF staff members. Do not pester or pick at a situation if you do not like how was handled. You are expected to know the rules here and are expected to follow them. No further discussion needed.
11. If you have any personal concerns regarding the forum policy or the actions of Little Ariel staff, please direct them in a private message to the one of the staff members. Do not post this publicly because it will be immediately deleted.
Edited 12. Do not use the forum purely for personal gain. For example, do not PM members or start threads asking people to vote for you for specific contests online if you don't post here often, as this is considered spamming! If they are TLM-related and/or you contribute to LAF discussions often, we may be able to allow an exception or two, but on the whole let's keep things focused around group discussion and less on winning contests!
13. Please be mature. This forum is not a middle school lunch table or a sleepover party. When you post make sure you are contributing to the forum in a manner that is on topic. If a staff member finds a post irrelevant or nonsensical, it will be deleted.
New 14. Double check that you're posting in the right place! We have boards, sub-boards, and threads organized as such for a reason. LAF Staff members will move your post if it is not placed in a location that makes sense.
15. Be happy together and treat each other with respect and kindness, because Ariel would want it that way and so should you!
New 16. If you reference a YouTube video, please include a link to it in the post. It can be confusing to discuss a video nobody on the forum has seen. Also, it causes inconvenience if those members try to search the internet for a video based on a vague description.

~~~Please understand if any of these guidelines are broken intentionally or repeatedly, LAF staff will have to consider giving out consequences to those who chose not to follow our policy. ~~~
***Additional Information***
Personal Concerns: I just want to address this since it has recently become an issue. I want everyone to understand that the Little Ariel Forum staff work together in support of the forum as a whole. Though we do care about our individual members our main focus is the forum's members in general.
Of course, not everyone will agree with us and of course we will have our challenges. If you are not automatically accepted as a moderator or a board request is not accepted please understand this rarely has anything to do with YOU personally. We have a set of guidelines and expectations for what we want in a moderator and what boards are appropriate or inappropriate for this forum.
Please understand that our intentions are NEVER to make anyone feel ignored or not wanted. It is our goal to do the best for the forum in general.
If any of you have a personal issues or concerns with the LAF staff or this forum, please address them in the appropriate place. Publicly posting these personal issues in the boards is inappropriate and not respectful to your own privacy. Please send any concerns to an administrator. That's what we are here for.
***PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE ONLY DELETING THESE ACCOUNTS NOT BANNING THESE ACCOUNTS. IF YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DELETED DUE TO OUR NEW POLICY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE A NEW ONE
**********************************************
Accounts we will be deleting:
--Members who have registered on Little Ariel Forum over 3 months ago who have never posted once
**********************************************
Please be mindful this is not being done to be mean or hurtful. We'd love to have a strong solid huge community but unless we have people actively posting, we do not. We feel that this guideline is very liberal and doesn't not ask for much. We ask you please to begin becoming active in LittleAriel Forum!!
Moderators:
What is the job of a moderator?
As a moderator, your job is to browse around your particular board and make sure everything is within the guidelines of our forum policy.
Make sure you read through the policy and understand it. If you notice something on your board that seems strange or doesn't follow the policy, you will have the ability to delete that post. Also, it is your job to let the Administrators know if you notice anything suspicious.
What are we looking for in a moderator?
1. You don't have to be a long time member to be a moderator, but we'd like to have seen you around here enough to know that you are "active" and post often.
***What I mean by active is simply someone who logs on, browses the boards and posts at least once every two weeks. This doesn't mean just because you've made 100 posts a day you can automatically be a moderator. We like the posts to have substance and really contribute to the forum***
2. If you're a moderator, we want to see you on the forum and posting as I said. If are going on vacation or need a break for a while that's cool but let us know so we don't think you've abandoned ship.
3. Don't take advantage of your position; your job is to only delete things that do not follow our policy. If you disagree with what someone said or do not like a certain post, do not delete it. Keep your personal preferences to yourself, unless it is harming another member or hurting somebody's feelings. If you are unsure about anything, check with an Administrator.
New 4. If you are chosen as a moderator it is not only your job to moderate posts and boards, but you also should be someone who starts threads and encourages others to be active in the forum.
4. Moving on to something that has been an issue lately; inactive moderators. If we notice that a moderator has been away from the site for extended amount of time (meaning over 2 months) or hasn't posted in an extended amount of time without letting us know they'd be gone, I will send out a notice. This will basically say that if you'd like to continue with your moderating position, you will need to visit the forum more. If not, someone will be allowed to replace you. It is not fair to those members who want to be moderators when spots are taken up by people who no longer contribute to the forum. If you ever don't feel like being a moderator any more that's fine, just please let us know.
5. Also if at any time you abuse your privileges of being a moderator by deleting multiple posts for no reason or are inappropriate or rude in posts or messages to other members, you will be removed as a moderator and other consequences may be taken depending on your actions.
6. Remember, not everyone will be automatically accepted to be a moderator. If an Administrator says they need more time to decide or would like you to do something more, please do not take it personally. Usually if more time is given and you do what we ask you, you will be accepted. Whining, complaining, and disrespect will most definitely not work, and most likely we will not consider you to be one at all after that.
Thank you for your interest in helping us out!
