I was looking at photos from our first trip to WDW last week and I thought you might like this one from the Magical Moments Parade...  This is probably my fav parade float ever. It really looks like the scene from the movie and all the pieces moved. It squirted water at the crowd as it went past, and when the parade stopped everybody was invited to limbo in front of the float with the characters.  I loved that whole parade. It was really fun and colourful and the song was great.  The Parade of Dreams at Disneyland is a lot of fun too, but I think Magical Moments was the best. |

Yeah! Too bad they can't do parade stops at MK any more for safety reasons.  Anybody recognise Sebastian from the SpectroMagic float?  Magical Memories and Spectro used to run together so I guess they made two. |

That is an amazing float! While the parade at WDW now is quite beautiful, they need to make it a little better.

I'm not a big fan of the current MK parade. All Disney parades are good, but that one could be a lot better. I don't like the floats or the song. I probably won't be back at WDW for a few years so hopefully it will be gone by then! |

I'm not a big fan of the current MK parade. All Disney parades are good, but that one could be a lot better. I don't like the floats or the song. I probably won't be back at WDW for a few years so hopefully it will be gone by then! Aw really? I personally love that parade. The song is always stuck in my head, and it has a nice assortment of characters. Sure, its not as insane as some of the other parades when it comes to floats and whatnot, but the Princess float IS gorgeous. |

Wow ! I have never seen that float before ! Is it on youtube ? I guess it was from a while ago.
I remember in Paris, when it first opened, that in Ariel's float, Ariel wasnt even a mermaid ! She was in a boat, really high up, with Eric. It was supposed to be a scene from Kiss The Girl. Though I was really little at the time, I remember thinking how funny it was that my favourite character, the little mermaid, wasnt even a mermaid in her part of the show! ;D

Oh wow ! Its wonderful that you found it ! Brings back so many memories. I can't remember what she was wearing though; was it the blue dress ? I'm going to have a hunt and see if I can find anymore pictures from it. Oh, I just love the Disney parades. They are my favourite part of my Disney trips  |

She was wearing the Tour of the Kingdom dress. I love Disney parades too. The new one at DLP looks like a lot of fun. |

Oh cool! Thanks Lizzie. That brings back a lot of memories. I don't think Maleficent was in the parade when I saw it though. The Lion King had just been released, so they had Simba and Nala riding on ostriches at the beginning. |

Hmmm, yeah, they are different additions as well. Well spotted !
I'm still unsure why Disney did not include more of Ariel in the park. I mean, practically all of the 90's movies have something, apart from Ariel ! There is Agrabah in Adventure Land, Belle's Christmas Village, Lion King areas and restaurants .. .. and I am sure there are more which I can't think of right now, but Ariel still has nothing :( Do you think its because they thought they would have Ariel's Undersea Adventure Ride, so they didnt think they needed to include anything else? That makes sense; but after they scrapped the ride, you think they would have put something else forward for one of Disney's most beloved characters!
I think the lack of Ariel is always a dissapointing part of DisneyLAnd Resort Paris. Dont get me wrong, i love every bit of the Park; its just this one thing that annoys me slightly.

This is from the Magical Moments parade? I remember when I was at Disney World for my 7th birthday it was the "Remember The Magic" parade. I looooved that float, especially when Ariel blew me a kiss and exlaimed something like she remembered me. |
