Voyage of the Little Mermaid opened at Walt Disney World's MGM Studios on January 7, 1992 and has continued to be one of the park's most popular attractions ever since. Various changes were made to the show when it was closed for major refurbishment in January 2003.

I first saw Voyage in August 2001. I loved the old version of the show. The dancing turtle was hilarious, the effects were amazing and I remember it really felt like you were seeing Ariel in real life. It's a shame they changed the show so much in 2003 and took out the scene when Triton talks to Sebastian, and also the hands that took Ariel's voice, but it's still one of my fav attractions at WDW and I've been back to see it about 24 times! Wow !!! Thanks for showing us. I know I liked the old one too. Even though I have never seen it in real life. But I like the tail better in the old version then the new one. Great pics its like a professional photographer took those.

I hope you'll get to see the show in person some time. It's a lot of fun. They use special effects all around the theatre to make you feel like you're underwater. I like the old tail better too.

I guess Voyage is 17 years old as of this month! I'm so glad it's lasted all that time and long may it continue.

Thanks I hope so too. My parents say that we might go in sping break but I don't know. Yep keep it going. Wow 17 years that has been playing. Yeah it does sound like a lot of fun.

The second-to-last picture is gorgeous! Ariel looks so dreamy.

I remember seeing Voyage when it first came out! I've only been to Disney once since then (2003, I think), but I hope to go again. My best friend LOVES MGM, and I think we'll be going to Disney at the same time next year. I'll have to drag her over there.

I know that is a long time. I wonder too how many performances that have must been. A LOT though. Hahaha!!!!

I first saw the show in December 2007. One of the things I really liked about it was the mist that falls from the ceiling at the beginning which gives more of an underwater feel. Sadly, when I went in August 2008 there was no mist It just wasn't the same without it.

I saw the newer one a few years back. After walking around the park for as long as I had, watching a show was a welcome relief!

Despite all those rumours, it looks like Voyage is going to long outlive the Broadway show! I'm so glad. Check out the cool new sign...

I liked the old one, but this is even better. I can't wait to see what it looks like with the characters back on top. Maybe they'll be new as well.

Yeah that is nice. I like it way better then the old sign that they had for it.

I prefer the older version much better! The new one is too short, and whats up with Ariel's feathered tail?

I just saw it just last week today - it was awesome - i want to say it was my first time seeing it but that cant be true - but it was my favorite thing at Hollywood or mgm - like i like to call it!!!!
