Do you think it is possible that The Little Mermaid can come to life? Like a real-life movie? It could be called The Little Mermaid: The Movie. Tell me your guys thoughts.

If they could bring The Little Mermaid to the stage, why not in a live action movie? Or maybe even in 3-D animation, like Tinker Bell, that might be cool!!!

It's possible it could be done.
With H2O Just Add Water and Aquamarine, there are precedents for real mermaid tails.
But that would limit the casting pool a bit.
Judging from what Lauren Hewitt (she never played a literal mermaid, but she did play Mera on Ocean Girl), the role made her a strong swimmer, because she was wearing a dress that became very heavy when it got wet. And most of her scenes involved swimming, as did Neri's.
So anyone playing Ariel or a similar merperson role would need to be good at swimming. And not ordinary swimming either, they'd have to practiced at fin swimming.
But most likely, those scenes would be the result of effects, it would be impossible for even the best swimmer to stay underwater for that whole scene.
However, there's not a great track record in this area. Most animation2live action films have failed. They'd have to assemble a team who could recreate the spirit of the original movie and not just "phone it in" as is common with this type of movie.

I think the Live Action wouldent be as moving and touching as the animated movie. besides, theres already been a couple of Mermaid movies (Aquamarine and Splash) that didnt really work out well.

I don't really see a reason to make one because the original is great enough on its own. I doubt it would ever be as good. But I would like them to cast Amy Adams as Ariel if they did.

I dont like the idea. i dont think they could make it look real. plus the original is perfect and it would come off as unesary.
sorry for any spelling errors

I think it's unlikely that TLM would ever be live, but if it were, I know the perfect Ariel, face and expression wise. Of course, she's not a real young Ariel, but I was amazed when I first saw her how she just looked like animated Ariel come to life. Her name is Jedediah Bila Check out this clip: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tr_gexTKDU4Check out more clips on her site: jedediahbila.com/index.php/mediaOkay, so correct me if I'm wrong Have a GREAT Ariel Jedediah day!! No. Only a non-Disney version, which there are a couple out soon! A Disney live action Beauty & the Beast would happen before TLM.
