Evil Manta. Awesome concept, awesome character + Tim Curry.
He and the cave sorceress were the only memorable threatening recurring vilain in the series besides Ursula.
It's too bad they never got a chance to team up...
The rest of my top five:
Spot (I own the Whale of a Tale tape. Plus he's just all kinds of nifty.)
Urchin (ditto)
Gabriella (You can't not love her)
The Crab Scouts (anachronisms aside, they were cute and amusing without getting obnoxious)

Spot, he's so adorable.
Another reason he is my favoerite is because he was really the first character I ever saw since I own the Whale of a Tale tape. I always watched it when i was little.

Ok, so my favorite characters from the series are rather obscure, too obscure in fact to have been included on the normal list (by the way, whoever made that, props on remembering so many characters!).
Anyway, my favs are the two sailors on the ship carrying Mozart and his possesions in the "Calliope Dreams" episode. They are hilarious! I'm laughing right now just thinking about them and their promises to Wolfgang that nothing will happen to his bathtub!
Those are my favorite characters: they are small, insignificant, but priceless to me.

I love Urchin, his chapters are one of my favourites. I remember how much I laughted the first time I saw "Marriage of Inconvenience". I always have thought that Urchin a crush on Ariel xDD, he's soooooo cute
And the crab scouts are really funny too, but I think the most funny is Sebastian with them

They're second in the rankings, behind Spot the whale (marine biology nitpick, he's not really a whale, just a big dolphin).

Killer whales are dolphins? No way! In the 18th century, orcas were known as whale killers (due to them predating whale species). Somehow, in this century, the words got mixed up. Anyway, it saves confusion for me to say orca. |
