Hey everyone, I've been following the bluray.com thread that lends info on this breathtaking diamond release we've all been waiting for since the cars dvd trailer way back in 06', and recently its come to light that a number of... edits have been made to the film. Most aren't that big of a deal, the intro credits are shifted earlier to say it's in 3d, the shot where ariel and flounder swim to the surface to see scuttle no longer has a fading effect (annoying, but not really that big of a deal), but the worst that we've seen is a flip-flop of shots towards the end of part of that world. Here's a link: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=1Kg57ivgvFE We should complain to Disney about this before the international release!

Disney seriously needs to fix this! This scene, he**, this WHOLE FILM is too iconic to be tampered with.

You know some people on that thread have said that the new change transitions to flounder better, but what about the other edited clip? you know, the one where ariel's mouth and her head move to the dialog "wish i could be"? The clip that had to go all the way through all the storyboard revisions into the final revision, then recorded by jodi, then actually ANIMATED to Jodi, before being given to the in-betweeners and then being hand-painted even later??? Does the smoothness of the new edit warrant just THROWING AWAY all that work?!!
********* Disney. First you make us wait this long, then you cancel the theatre version, now you botch what's probably the most important and beloved scene in the entire film?? *sighs*

It's really UNFORTUNATE!!! How could they even THINK of altering the best best scene of the movie???
Definitely Disney needs to reconsider this edit!!!

what the flippidy-flop-flounder is this? Ugh Disney... This is a digital re-master. Not a digital re-MAKE. Stop changing things.
