I have seen a few episodes by now, it's an entertaining cartoon.
The rivalry between Cassandra and Eugene is especially hilarious.
<Cassandra surprises Eugene, causing him to fall into the lake.>
Cassandra: How is the water?
Eugene: Dark and icy, just like you.
It's cute how she keeps calling Rapunzel "Raps".
I haven't really paid attention, but shouldn't she be called Cass?
It is the shortened version of her name.
The first time I saw Cassandra though, I didn't recognise her at first, because this was the only image I'd seen:
I honestly thought she was some ruffian girl who befriended Rapunzel at the Snuggly Duckling.
This is her actual first appearance:
She says she is a maid, but I think she's more like a personal assistant, as she is keeping Rapunzel organised to her daily royal duties/schedule.
Then I saw this scene:
She had that under her hat the entire time!
So she might also be a bodyguard as well.
Classic misdirection, if they don't think she's dangerous, the enemies will ignore her and get the surprise of their life when they find out she's not so ineffective!
I am hoping if they do a Tangled sequel, Cassandra is in it.
The odds are not high that will happen, I've never heard of a series character being transferred to the feature length productions.
But it would still be awesome to see her in CGI!
She identifies the Captain as her father:
According to what she says in the first movie, he's super strict, if he learns she messed up big time, she'll get sent to a convent!
Not as pleasant as it sounds, nuns were fairly authoritarian in that era.
The notes I read says she is his adopted daughter, but is that true?
I know sometimes articles can be altered with false information, so I haven't been able to verify that fact yet.
I don't know how the hair regrowth plot is progressing, but from the few episodes I've seen, it looks like Mother Gothel had a plan to "come back from beyond the grave".
Villains always have a "death escape clause".
As for the timeline crossover into the Frozen movie, it either precedes this series or comes after it if Rapunzel's hair returns to normal.
Since this is stated to precede the wedding special and she has her brown hair again, I assume her blonde hair isn't permanent and will go away at some point in the future.
A foreshadowing from Sofia the First perhaps?
Rapunzel talks about Eugene and the events of the movie as though they already happened, but she has her blonde hair back and is wearing her Princess crown.
So maybe she was brought to Enchancia while the events of the series was under way.
I've seen Lady Caine, she's not a very proper lady, to put it politely.
I wonder who her father was though, the one she speaks of as being jailed.
It can't be one of the Snuggly Duckling ruffians, because they're all in the Castle.
I assume she's the show's major villainess.
I wonder if they'll have other adversaries, just for diversity.
