Disney Plus has officially launched! Here's my profile pic (Ariel, of course, but there are SO many character options!) To those subscribed, what are you interested in watching first? I'm gonna give TLM the Series a re-watch - it's been a while! Also I'm not up to date on Tangled's Series and I'm glad they have that up there too!

I'm still uncertain about the merits of this service yet. In Australia it costs something like 8-9 dollars.
But what is received for that monthly payment? Can anyone who has tried it please describe what you get with this subscription?
At the moment, I've got Disney Channel in my cableTV package and I'm mostly using it to watch the Disney shows I like. How is that different from Disney+?

buckmana Disney+ contains nearly an entire catalog of every Disney film, every Disney-owned film (films by other studios that Disney has since bought), and original content. I'll include lists here of all the content that was out on Day 1 of the launch, with lots more incoming. So not just everything Disney Channel has ever aired (TV shows and original films), but nearly every Disney animated & live action film, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic documentaries, and more (including, randomly, the entirety of The Simpsons?). The live action Lady and the Tramp film went straight to Disney+ instead of airing in theaters or going straight to DVD/Blu-Ray, and I feel like this might be happening for other Disney live action films or potential sequels/spinoffs - though I doubt it will happen to the live action TLM with all the buzz surrounding it. www.cnet.com/news/disney-plus-every-show-movie-original-series-available-to-stream-date/www.theverge.com/2019/10/14/20913417/disney-plus-launch-lineup-marvel-star-wars-pixar-tv-shows-movies-simpsons-national-geographic

I'm mostly interested in the tv series offered, I usually buy the Disney movies I want from iTunes. The second link had some new movies, probably WorksInProgress that I haven't seen, I'm hoping they don't make them exclusive to this platform to "encourage" subscriptions. From the supplied link, here's the list of Disney show I have watched: The Little Mermaid - Series (1992) Lizzie McGuire (2001) Kim Possible (2002) Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003) The Replacements (2006) Jessie (2011) Lab Rats (2012) TRON: Uprising (2012) Girl Meets World (2014) Stuck in the Middle (2016) Lab Rats: Elite Force (2016) Elena of Avalor (2016) Tangled: The Series (2017) Big Hero 6: The Series (2017) Coop & Cami Ask the World (2018) Fast Layne (2019) Um, where the heck is Sofia the First? What possible reason could they have for leaving that show out of the service? Lab Rats: Elite Force though, they shouldn't have included that one, because for some reason, Disney cancelled production on it with only half the season produced, so the story is never concluded. That irks me most of all, we get this elaborate story about a former superhero turned evil and we never get to find out how he's defeated. We don't even get to see that confrontation at all, the series ends with a minor cliffhanger. I don't think Disney should be reminding people of a show they intentionally didn't finish....... What is the storage method for these files? Are they downloaded to the device viewing them or just watched remotely? If they aren't permanently cached, it could mean the device has to redownload the file each time the item is viewed, which could increase bandwidth consumption.

I wonder if that's the reason Disney Channel isn't showing any Sofia the First episodes at the moment. We got a little way into the final season, then the episodes just stopped coming and they showed the final episode. That confused me a lot, since I hadn't seen half the buildup episodes, why skip directly to the final chapter of the story?
The basic plotline of Lab Rats: Elite Force in major story points went like this: The supervillain kept sending his sons to fight with the Elite Force because he wants the "superhero list", which he can use to locate and kill every superhero to make sure none exist. His sons fail time and again, so he sends his daughter to steal the list instead and she gets it. That's where the series was cancelled, before the next stage of the story, whatever that might have been. You can see why they shouldn't be hosting it, who would want to watch a series that never finishes the story?
