Revamping Voyage (new tail!) + petition

Voyage of The Little Mermaid is a staple of Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios and has been around since 1992. But for whatever reason, the show seems stuck in 1992. It just doesn't have that Broadway level of professionalism that other Disney Parks shows have like Frozen at the Hyperion, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios, and Finding Nemo the Musical. The Little Mermaid predates all those properties, and in a way was the spark of inspiration for the new wave of Disney musicals, not just in film, but at the Disney Parks, Broadway, and beyond.

Thankfully, a few things here and there in Voyage have received some upgrades. Most notably, Ariel's fin has a new design and is a lot shinier & sleeker! The scales are just so much more pleasant to look at in this more compact form, and the tail doesn't look like it's falling apart anymore.

Which shows that they aren't getting rid of Voyage any time soon. So hopefully they might be planning an update for the entire show? One can hope!

It's currently at 180 signs with its next goal at 200 - and who knows, maybe Disney already has plans to update it? But not without a demand.
Ariel's costumes in and outside of the show have slowly been receiving upgrades, who's to say if more elements of her world at the Parks might as well?

That is what I meant Is it still going? When the muppets were acquired by Disney that "technology" was used for this show.

Have not seen it since 1992 myself . Hoped to get down this year  with hopes of doing such as it is a thirtieth anniversary tribute LOOKs like next March

Also Disney is gonna focus on Frozen 2 more then anything else now.                                 Would have been nice if Mickie D did SOMETHING                     BUT

I’d really like to see them refurbish it as well...when I was in business school, I wrote a paper on basically stuff that they could do in the parks to attract more visitors, and one of the things I mentioned was putting some of the shows that are no longer on Broadway in the parks. I think TLM would definitely be a good candidate because they already have VOTLM and they could use it as a test for a revival in the future by adding elements of the Broadway show.
