Hey Everyone! Don't forget that The Little Mermaid opens on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in NYC in just 14 days!!!! It looks like it's going to be an AMAZING show...but what would make it even more amazing is if Jodi was the one playing Ariel! I wonder if that's even legal since she did the movie & all. Does anyone know if she was even offered the role? Here's the show's official homepage...go check it out! disney.go.com/theatre/thelittlemermaid/index.html

Well it's not just the voice they look for, it's the face as well. I'm not saying Jodi isn't beautiful but she's a little too old to be able to play Ariel on stage. This is Sierra's Big Break, and it's a wonderful role to play and she does it well.

Hahahaha....yeah, I thought about that as soon as I posted that. She can definitely still pull off the 16 year old voice, but you're absolutely right about the looks. Jodi has a beautiful face, don't get me wrong...but I get what you guys are saying about looking 16 again! I think Sierra looks beautiful as Ariel...she has a really amazing voice too! Is anyone planning on going to see the show?

I plan to see it eventually, but Im not sure that I will be catching it in time to see Sierra in it. There might be a new cast by the time I get around to seeing the show

I'm going to see it January 6th.
I'm pretty sure Sierra will still be there.
Would a 6 o' clock show be too late to catch the cast at the stage door?

I'm not sure about TLM as it hasn't opened yet, but generally you're more likely to have actors comes out after night shows than matinees.

WickedElphie is right about that...I think evening shows are the best time to catch the performers. I went to see CATS in West Virginia last year because one of my friends was in it and when I met her at the stage door after the show (this was about 20 minutes after the show ended) there were still alot of the other cast members still coming out. The show started at later in the evening and there was still time, so I think you'll be fine.

About taking pictures with the actors: Generally they will, but there are exceptions a la Anthony and Adam when they came back to Rent.
Also, don't necessarily expect everybody to come out. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. For example, when I saw The Phantom of the Opera, Raoul Christine and the Phantom all came out. When I saw Beauty and the Beast, only Maurice and Lafou came out.
Just have a good attitude and try not to expect too much, be polite, bring your own Sharpie marker, and try to get a good spot.

I didn't see it in person, but I watched it on youtube, and it was amazing. Sierra was great as Ariel, and Sean really deepened Eric's character. It was amazing. I really hope I'll get to see it in person someday soon.
