Disney and Harry Potter are two very beloved magical worlds that fans truly adore. Here's how their characters might match-up to one another.

There are two very beloved magical worlds out there, each with books, movies, products, and theme parks: Harry Potter and Disney. Due to their success and popularity, this franchise and this brand have joined forces more than once, with creative collaborations, fanfic, and lists that imagine what Harry Potter characters would look like as cartoons or which houses Disney princes would be sorted into at Hogwarts.
Well, it is time for another one: Which of the people from Harry Potter’s world are most like which characters that have been created by Disney? In short, here are Harry Potter characters and their Disney counterparts!

Harry Potter & Prince Eric
First up is the star of the story, Harry. He is a humble hero, who goes out of his way to help people, who is friendly to all and who represents goodness. He is also an attractive brunette, as is Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid.
Eric is friendly, charming, and accepting, too, as he leads with grace and immediately does what he can to help out Ariel.

Hermione Granger & Belle
Obviously, two characters who are a lot alike and who have been played by the same actress are Hermione Granger and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. They are brunettes, they love to read, and they stand up for themselves and others.
It is easy to see how and why Emma Watson starred in the live-action version of this movie since she had already had tons of success playing a similar character!

Ron Weasley & Bernard
Ron Weasley can be nervous, awkward, lazy, and a bit immature. He seems to have a lot of fears in life. He has been known to throw tantrums of sorts when things don’t go his way. Still, he is a fan-favorite character.
His Disney counterpart could be Bernard from The Rescuers. This little guy is also quite timid. However, when it counts and when he needs to be, he steps up, faces danger, and saves the day… just like Ron.

Ginny Weasley & Ariel
As a young redhead, Ginny Weasley is a bit like Ariel. In The Little Mermaid, this princess was rebellious and outspoken, as she dreamed of a different life. The youngest Weasley, on the other hand, was shy, especially around her crush, Harry. As time went on, though, she became a true hero, helping her friends and family along the way and really finding her voice and herself.
Plus, Ginny and Harry end up marrying one another, and his counterpart is Eric, who marries Ariel!

Fred And George Weasley & Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
Fred And George Weasley would always lend a hand when needed, as well, but they would much rather spend their time joking around and playing pranks. This sounds like another pair of twins: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum from Alice In Wonderland.
Their curious behavior includes singing songs, telling jokes, and being a silly distraction in general.

Albus Dumbledore & Merlin
A notable character from Harry Potter is Albus Dumbledore, who guided Hogwarts, gave advice to one and all, and upheld/spread good, positive, and beneficial magic.
A magical and somewhat respected character from Disney is Merlin from The Sword in the Stone, and these two are counterparts, with their long robes and long white beards and hair.

Rubeus Hagrid & Wreck-It Ralph
Upon first glance, some could be scared of Rubeus Hagrid, as he is half-giant. He is actually one of the sweetest characters from this tale, however, as well as a genuine friend and hero.
Disney introduced a gentle giant in Wreck-It Ralph; in his video game, Ralph had to destroy everything, but he is really a nice and friendly guy.

Several people taught Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts over the years, including Remus Lupin… who also sometimes transformed into a werewolf. Don’t be fooled, though: He was another extremely kind and helpful soul.
It makes sense for The Beast to be his counterpart, as both of these characters were cursed and turned into something they did not like. But in the end, a happy ending came in Beauty and the Beast, and this main male went back to being a handsome prince.

And, finally, Lord Voldemort seems most like Hades from Hercules. Sure, there are Disney villains that are far worse, as Hades is much sillier than He Who Shall Not Be Named ever was.
