Oh my gosh! I found five minutes to write a tiny bit of something and post it. I'm sorry it's so short, but it's all I could squeeze out with my schedule of quizzes and dancing...and more dancing. Anyway, there will be more soon. Thanks for your patience guys!

Standing by one of the windows, Ariel looked around the room one last time. It looked just the way it did the first time she’d entered it, down to the way the pillows were arranged on the bed. Everything was packed and probably halfway to the docks by now. She was sure that she hadn’t left anything behind, but for some reason she felt compelled to stay for just a few more moments.
Here she was, in what was now her room. From now on when she came to Greysmith she would walk up the stairs right to this spot as if she’d never left, and no amount of time would change that. She couldn’t help but think about how she felt when she first arrived; the feeling that so many happy memories seemed to live in the very walls of this castle. As she looked around her room, Ariel felt like she was now a part of that collective memory. She had a place here, just like Charlotte, James, Ethan, Tony, and Eric did.
That truth was slowly passing over her, and as it did, she realized how hard it would be to leave.
“Ariel,” Ethan said, standing in the doorway. “Everything is on its way to the ship. The only thing we’re missing is you.”
He walked across the room to the window where Ariel was standing.
“Is everything alright?” he asked.
“I’m fine Ethan,” she answered, taking a few steps from the window. “I know it’s only been a week, but I’m really going to miss it here. I mean, you’ve all been so wonderful to me, I don’t know where I can even begin to thank you for….”
“Ariel, no,” Ethan said, taking her hand. “We’re all friends now. You don’t have to thank us for anything…ever. Least of all for just loving the person you are. That’s just what friends do.”
Ariel smiled and just looked at Ethan and how sincere he was. Between him, James, and Eric, Ariel had never known sweeter men in her entire life, and she thought herself very lucky to have them.
“As for leaving Greysmith,” Ethan continued, “you won’t be missing it for too long. After this, I don’t think we’ll be able to stand not seeing each other for more than a few months. There definitely won’t be two years between visits ever again. I think we’ve clearly proven that there’s too much to miss in two year’s time. Oh no Ariel, you’ll be back sooner than you think.”
“That’s true,” Ariel said, letting Ethan escort her out of the room. “Plus, I had forgotten that there’s going to be a wedding coming up.”
“You won’t be back that soon,” Ethan said nervously as he and Ariel walked out of the room and started down the hall.
