YES it is confirmed that a majority of the Disney Princesses all with their original voices (including Jodi as Ariel) will be included in Wreck it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet! I heard from a D23 attendee that the princesses (which I think are confirmed as Ariel, Belle, Merida, Anna, Elsa, Moana, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Jasmine, Tiana, and Mulan) will be in a scene having a sleepover/slumber party with Vanellope! So it looks like Ralph and Vanellope go on an adventure navigating different internet sites (in the video I linked below, they say that Vanellope's arcade game Sugar Rush breaks down and it's up to Ralph and Vanellope to find the missing part to fix it via the internet)- I hear that there's a Google parody, an Amazon parody, the Disney website, Oh My Disney, and other sites. They'll all look like themselves, but animated in the style of Wreck it Ralph, so I'm very curious especially to see how the 2D princesses like Ariel are translated into the 3D world of Wreck it Ralph. Also, I wonder if this is implying the theory that Vanellope is a Disney Princess herself since (spoiler alert for the first Wreck it Ralph) it is revealed that Vanellope is the rightful ruler of Sugar Rush and not a glitch, and she transforms into the princess she always was, but she prefers to be a racer and decides to be President of Sugar Rush instead). I also read that she had become coronated an honorary Disney Princess at this year's D23 convention, but that's not confirmed or anything I don't think. Links here: www.usatoday.com/story/life/entertainthis/2017/07/15/wreck-ralph-sequel-disney-princesses/481531001/(Idina and Ming-Na Wen weren't present, but their characters Elsa and Mulan are in the princess scene)

Crossover overload!!!! Yes!!!!! It will be so fun to see them all together and have Vanellope in the mix too! Now I want to see this movie even more! The more recent ones like Elsa, Anna, Moana, Merida will have already been rendered in 3D, but Ariel etc will need all new models created, as they've always been 2D. This is the only time I've ever seen Ariel in 3D: Ariel 3DFrom Kingdom Hearts. Here are the others: Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, Cinderella and Aurora.

She's also been in 3D in Sofia the First, as have many of the other princesses, so perhaps that might be closer to the character models they'll use in WIR2? and YES I too liiiiiive for Disney crossovers!!

I think they'll have to make all new models for the 2D Princesses. Usually because tv series models aren't high quality enough for the large screen image. Here is the only example I know of, Susan from Monsters Vs Aliens: The primary difference was her hair, the software used just didn't have the ability to render it moving around, so they tied it back in a ponytail and made it a solid object. While the software for Sofia the First is a bit more powerful then that. I still see certain hints that indicate they couldn't render everything. It looks like they were just implying certain things are there by modelling the overlapping object into a shape that suggests the unseen object is there when it doesn't actually exist. And now I'm wondering what it would be like if Vanellope got to meet Sofia and Amber! They're relatively close in age, so they might have a lot in common. Although this is how I'm imagining Amber after a day spent with the hyperactive energetic Vanellope: Amber: It's only 4 o clock and I'm too exhausted to keep playing with Vanellope!

This picture was released recently of the princess scene in WIR2! Note: Ariel isn't pictured here, she's most likely on the other side of the room. Wasn't sure if this was a joke or not but some are saying she's in her mermaid form in a fishbowl, much like Amy Mebberson's Pocket Princesses series, which would be adooooorable! Mulan & Merida are probably on the other side of the room as well, as they've been confirmed by their voice actors to be in the scene too.

Thanks for supplying the picture.
Pocahontas looks really angry, the others just seem surprised.
I wonder how Vanellope came into this scene. Did she walk in through the door or just materialise in the middle of the room? The latter one makes more sense, just appearing from nowhere would be more surprising then if she'd simply opened the door and walked in. Or it could just be that they're surprised to see someone new they weren't expecting.
Moana is interesting, why did she bring her canoe oar?
I think Rapunzel and Belle are showing their hobbies in this picture, painting and reading respectively.
I don't see any animal sidekicks, so I assume they're not included in this scene.

yougottaloveariel goodness! I hope you’re alright- wasn’t anticipating that kind of reaction! My best guess is either that there may not be a frame of animation where every princess character is in view, or that they don’t want to release every character model at once (or they’re just saving the best for last 🧜🏻♀️). I’m actually glad we haven’t seen Ariel yet (she IS confirmed in the scene, Jodi Benson has said she recorded dialogue and Ariel has been re-animated to fit the style). I want to be surprised to see what she looks like when I go to the cinema to see the film, so the suspense is killing me in the best way 😂 I generally go into most new Disney films trying as much as possible to avoid trailers, information about the plot, new music, pictures, etc. (in this case, this was kinda unavoidable! I had friends on social media posting it everywhere!) I like being surprised when going into a film blind without any expectations, but maybe that’s just me! buckmana Vanellope must’ve interrupted a princess bonding moment or something! I don’t know much about the film besides that it will be kinda what The Emoji Movie was attempting to do- Ralph and Vanellope will be traveling between websites and apps and the like, so this is probably them entering Oh My Disney or Pocket Princesses or something else like that. IDK if Ralph is also there or if this is just Vanellope’s moment, as she is *technically* a princess, without being an official Disney princess. I’m a bit surprised to see this picture released, since during D23 when the scene was shown to attendees, there was a real hush-hush feeling where they didn’t want anything leaked. Will they release more images of this scene before the US release? (Nov 21st, 2018). Who knows! It seems like sooooo long to wait though!

When ABC was acquired By Disney in 1996 AND Rereleased The Wonderful World Of Disney
Ariel was NOT in the opening shots a year later...……………………………..
No Comments on That Ice Pack? (It has been reissued with new design)
Ms Benson is SUPPOSED to be in Toy Story 4 AND as I stated the Sofia The First EP though I did not recognize her voice
If that is a castle Sadly Ariel may be in the moat (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
IW AS Surprised to see Pocahnatas Disney has not done anything WITH HERE IN 20 YEARS Amy Memberson does more with her
You knew who Don Music was?

yougottaloveariel Yeah, I did! I watched a lot of Sesame Street & The Muppets as a kid! I was most surprised to find out that every official Disney princess is in this scene from Snow White all the way to Merida, plus unofficial Disney Princess gals Anna, Elsa, and Moana, who all generally stick to their respective franchises till now. I wonder who is voicing Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora (will they be voiced? Do they speak in the scene? I wonder...). veu I knooooow! Ariel would look adorable in this animation style, and also Mulan! We'll have to wait and see, Merida too was absent! But they will ALL be there, it is confirmed! Just not in this initial picture. They might not have taken a group shot of all the princesses in the scene lol or just saving the best for last, maybe? 😋

Perhaps it could be that we aren't seeing the entire room, that it's an oval shape and the Princesses we don't see are on the side where the virtual camera is positioned. That they might do a panning shot or a reverse angle and we see the others are on the opposite side of the room.
I do remember somewhere reading a script line from one of the Princesses about Merida "nobody understands her" when Vanellope asks who they all are, written like they were talking about her, but not to her, implying she's there somewhere.
The release date of this movie has been pushed back to November 21 2018. It was originally scheduled for March 9, 2018.

buckmana I thought that as well- the missing gals are probably somewhere else on the other side of the room that didn't make it in the shot. Merida's voice actress, Kelly Macdonald, does have a voice acting credit for Merida in the film's IMDb and Wikipedia pages, and she's been at all the press events so far, so I'm assuming she'll say at the very least one line of dialogue? Yeah I noticed the push back also, I wonder why? I was thinking if they were to push it back, it'd be for a summer release, but I guess Disney has more success with late November/US Thanksgiving holiday releases.

According to the article I read online, Wreck It Ralph 2's slot was given to a movie called A Wrinkle In Time. Which got me wondering, was the movie pushed back because it wasn't complete yet or simply because they wanted to show the other movie instead? If it's the second reason, that could mean WIR2 was completed on the target date and the datafile is just sitting in file storage waiting to be uploaded/distributed.
But I do know that CGI films can be delayed because it takes extra time to finish them because of technical or animation problems that need to be fixed before the movie can be released. I've seen many bugs on behind the scenes documentaries of the flaws that happen when they first test the software. For example, there's a test reel of Violet Parr (The Incredibles) jumping up to stand from a sitting position and when she stops bouncing from the sudden movement, her hair curves up towards the sky instead of moving naturally.
Since I assume most of these Disney Princesses will be getting all new CGI models, probably for the first time, there might have been a lot of technical complications. Ariel in particular would be the hardest one, since long hair and water immersion are among the list of the most difficult things to animate in CGI. I don't know the length of this scene yet, but I assume it'll be a short one, so likely the monumental difficulty of this task might just be for a few minutes of onscreen action. Those animators will have really earned their paychecks for this scene alone!

THE TRAILER IS HERE! Every princess is in view at some point, and we can see Ariel is animated in her land pink dress, which is barely ever included in a lot of her merch so I'm glad to see it come back here! (I was trying to restrain myself so I could be surprised....guess I did a great job of that! 😂) This is giving me very Emoji Movie vibes, but the world they created here looks vastly superior and more creative. I already really like how they did the "twitter" area better than how they did it in the Emoji movie. I understand why there's so many name-drops on companies and lots of meta Disney references, but hopefully the film makes up for it by having a solid story and great animation (the animation already looks really really good in what we've just seen now!). I think my favorite part of all this is looking at the top comments on Wreck It Ralph's official facebook page on their post of the trailer...you'll see some familiar faces chime in!buckmana Yeah I would assume the same with CGI understandably taking a while to perfect and all the new character models to create. Not only the Disney Princesses, but new original characters, video game cameos (Mario is in this one!), other Disney characters (we see a CGI Eeyore in this trailer), and a whole new world of the Internet. There's gotta be TONS of CGI hair for them to deal with here, even for such a short scene! I believe this isn't the entire scene, from what I heard at D23 it goes on a little bit, probably no more than 4 minutes but who knows! Every princess will get to speak at some point, so we'll just have to wait to hear from Ariel until more is released!
