From People: Everything to Know About The Little Mermaid's New Prince Eric, Jonah Hauer-King The up-and-coming actor landed the Disney prince role for the upcoming live-action adaptation By Benjamin VanHoose November 13, 2019 04:09 PM
Jonah Hauer-King is far from being a poor, unfortunate soul. The relative newcomer, 24, scored the role of Prince Eric in upcoming live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid opposite Halle Bailey‘s Ariel. Hauer-King will serve as the main love interest in the movie musical — a role former One Direction singer Harry Styles previously passed on. As the undersea cast begins to fill out (Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem and Jacob Tremblay are all reportedly circling key roles in the film), Hauer-King’s casting marks a big-screen milestone for the actor, best known till now for his supporting work on TV. Before he wins over Disney fans’ hearts in the updated version of the classic, get to know the man who’s about to become part of everyone’s world.
He was born and raised in London
Now holding dual citizenship in the U.K. and U.S., Hauer-King grew up in London with two older sisters. Raised by parents native to both countries — Debra Hauer, an American theater producer, and Jeremy King, a British restauranteur — the actor says he feels attached to both parts of the globe. “Being American is definitely part of my identity,” he told Show Patrol in May 2018. “I feel in some ways very English, but I’ve also spent a lot of time in America and feel like that’s part of myself.” Hauer-King, who graduated from Cambridge University in 2017 with a degree in theology and religious studies, points to his upbringing, outnumbered in his family by women, as a reason he comfortably works alongside — and develops lasting friendships with (more on that later) — his female costars. “I grew up in a household with a mom and two older sisters who treated me with a lot of kindness and cruelty in equal measure,” he joked to the outlet. And for those wondering which accent the actor possesses between his two homes, he speaks with a charming British intonation. You may recognize him from…
Hauer-King isn’t totally new to the acting world. In fact, he has worked with such movie stars as Ashley Judd, Bryce Dallas Howard, Clive Owen and Helen Hunt, to name a few. Though he’ll soon be sharing the screen with creatures of the sea, Hauer-King most recently led the cast of January’s A Dog’s Way Home, where he worked with an adorable, furry costar. “I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but she’s kind of the dream dog,” he told InqPOP of working with Shelby, the rescue dog that played Bella in the film. “She’s kind, loving and warm. It was fascinating to learn how the trainers work with her, but more than anything else, it was a joy.” Jonah Hauer-King in A Dog's Way Home On the small screen, Hauer-King has starred in several period pieces, including a BBC retelling of Howards End and a WWII drama World on Fire. Prior to the release of The Little Mermaid (which is scheduled to begin filming in the spring), the actor will appear in the Naomi Watts family drama Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, and the TV movie Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar. With a number of period dramas under his belt, the actor looks forward to expanding his range in more contemporary roles. “It’s been nice to have a lot of variety, that’s what keeps it exciting,” he told the U.K. outlet, The List.
He’s friends with many of his costars — including Maya Hawke
The young actor is perhaps best known for his performance in PBS’s Little Women from 2017, where he struck up friendships with the other young actors, including Stranger Things‘ Maya Hawke, Big Little Lies‘ Kathryn Newton and The Goldfinch‘s Willa Fitzgerald. In the limited series, Hauer-King played Laurie — the role soon to be filled by Timothée Chalamet in a new iteration of the story, out in December. After production ended on Little Women, Hauer-King continued sharing photos of himself hanging out with his former cast members, as they did in return. For a birthday tribute, Hawke posted a photo with the actor captioned, “birthday 🖤 boy.”
And (of course) he can sing
An iconic role like Prince Eric obviously requires someone with vocal range — especially opposite Halle Bailey, who makes up one half of the sister singing duo Chloe x Halle. Rest assured, Hauer-King has that covered. Aside from soundtrack credits on Little Women and Postcards from London, one archival YouTube clip shows the star covering Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” strumming a guitar for the stirring take on the song.
While he’ll definitely be able to pull of any musical responsibilities asked of him on Little Mermaid, Hauer-King is even more fitting of the nautical role, thanks to his love of water, as evidenced by several of his Instagram posts on boats, lounging poolside or posing near the ocean.

From Bustle: 'The Little Mermaid' Live-Action Movie Cast Includes Several A-List Celebs By GRETCHEN SMAIL Nov 5, 2019 Halle Bailey is Ariel in the live action Little Mermaid Movie.
On Nov. 5, ABC will air its musical special The Little Mermaid Live!, starring Auli'i Cravalho, Queen Latifah, Shaggy, and John Stamos, among others. But it's not the only Little Mermaid project slated to hit screens: Disney's live-action film adaptation is currently in production, with a release date yet to be announced. The live-action Little Mermaid cast is completely separate from ABC's live version, but the two casts do have at least one thing in common: they're notably more diverse than their animated 1989 predecessor. The live-action take also a similarly impressive slate of singers and actors ready to bring the magical tale back to life. Here's who's been announced so far.
Halle Bailey as Ariel
Halle Bailey, half of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle, will play Ariel in the new film. Outside of her music career, she's best known for playing the role of Skylar "Sky" Forster in Grown-ish alongside her sister and musical partner Chloe Bailey.
“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses the rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role," director Rob Marshall said in a statement, per Den of Geek.
Shortly after her casting, Bailey was the subject of some racist comments online, with a small but vocal minority of internet trolls pointing out that Ariel, a completely fictional mermaid, has white skin and red hair.
Bailey didn't let any of the comments bother her though; she told Variety that she doesn't "pay attention to the negativity." "It's going to be beautiful. I'm just so excited to be a part of it," she gushed.
Melissa McCarthy as Ursula
The cast of live action The Little Mermaid may include Melissa McCarthy.
While it's yet to be confirmed, Variety reported back in June that McCarthy is in talks to play Ursula, the nefarious sea witch who steals Ariel's voice.
It's a powerhouse role, and at the premiere of her film The Kitchen, McCarthy told Variety that she's excited to see Queen Latifah play the notorious villain in the TV musical as well. "She can do anything," McCarthy said. "I'll be like (raises hands) both hands on chin watching her."
Jacob Tremblay as Flounder
The cast of live action The Little Mermaid may include Jacob Tremblay.
Playing Ariel's little buddy Flounder is Jacob Tremblay, who can be seen in Room, Wonder, and the new film Doctor Sleep.
Javier Bardem as King Triton
The cast of live action The Little Mermaid may include Javier Bardem.
Like McCarthy, Bardem's role hasn't yet been confirmed, but he's in talks to play Ariel's stern father, King Triton. Bardem has had numerous high-profile roles, including in No Country for Old Men, Skyfall, Mother!, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Daveed Diggs as Sebastian
The cast of live action The Little Mermaid may include Daveed Diggs.
Diggs is in talks to play the musical crab Sebastian. It's a fitting role for the actor/rapper, who made his first big splash by playing the first Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette in Hamilton. He's since been spotted in Black-ish, Undone, and Velvet Buzzsaw, and wrote and acted in his own film Blindspotting, which was highly praised on the film festival circuit.
Awkwafina as Scuttle
The cast of live action The Little Mermaid may include Awkwafina.
Awkwafina is set to play Scuttle, the eccentric seagull. Though originally a rapper, she's been moving more into acting in recent years, with roles in Ocean's Eight, Crazy Rich Asians, and the emotional indie film The Farewell.
Prince Eric
One of the major questions surrounding The Little Mermaid film is who's going to play Ariel's love interest. Initially it was reported that singer Harry Styles was the frontrunner to play the role, but the casting never materialized.
When asked why he turned down the role of Eric, Styles explained to The Face magazine that he wanted to just "put music out and focus on that for a while." He continued to say he thinks "everyone involved in it is amazing" though, and that he'll "enjoy watching it, I’m sure."
Right now, Deadline reports that Cameron Cuffe (Seg-El in Krypton) and Jonah Hauer-King (2017's Little Women) are currently in the running for Eric.
Stay tuned for more updates.

From The Oprah Magazine: The Little Mermaid’s Future Prince Eric, Jonah Hauer-King, Can Actually Sing He also comes from British restaurant royalty. image By DeAnna Janes Nov 13, 2019
The latest casting news for the live-action Little Mermaid announced that relative newcomer Jonah Hauer-King will take on the role of Prince Eric. Hauer-King went through two screen tests to score the role that also considered Dunkirk’s Harry Styles and Krypton’s Cameron Cuffe. Hauer-King, a British-born 24-year-old actor, has been working on the PBS Masterpiece series World on Fire, opposite Mad About You’s Helen Hunt. Jonah Hauer-King just passed John Legend in most-searched celebrities on Google. Don’t quote us on that, but if there’s any news that could bump Legend’s recent Sexiest Man Alive reveal from one of the upper spots, it’s learning who will embody Disney’s sexiest prince alive.
Hauer-King, a British-born actor, has been chosen to play Ariel’s Prince Charming in the live-action Little Mermaid remake, fluttering into theaters sometime next year. The film, helmed by Chicago director Rob Marshall and scripted by Kingsman co-writer Jane Goldman, also stars Grown-ish’s Halle Bailey (Ariel). Others in talks to be in the film are Room’s Jacob Tremblay (Flounder), Bridesmaids’ Melissa McCarthy (Ursula), and The Farewell’s Awkwafina (Scuttle), will also be featured.
Previously, rumors swirled around who would play Prince Eric—the buzziest name floating around was probably that of former One Direction member Harry Styles. Reports actually revealed the pop star-turned-actor was offered the role but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts (per The Independent). Cameron Cuffe, who plays Seg-El on the television series Krypton, was also considered for the role. But in the end, it was the Cambridge University grad who won over the casting gods.
Before the 24-year-old actor rejiggers his royal-sounding moniker from “King” to “Prince” for the much-anticipated 2020 adaptation, let’s take a deep dive into the man behind the titles.
First of all, fear not: The man knows how to sing.
Though Prince Eric doesn’t really carry a tune in the animated classic, Hauer-King may want to be ready to drop a beat in the live-action remake. Luckily, after a quick search, we found that Hauer-King is quite the musical talent. Below, check out the actor doing Leonard Cohen a solid with his rendition of “Hallelujah.”
Bonus points for his guitar skills, right? Good thing he has that velvety falsetto too. He’s going to need those pipes for all of the new music Little Mermaid (1989) alum Alan Menken is producing for the remake.
Hauer-King scored the role after two screen tests.
Variety reported that Hauer-King went through two screenings, with the most recent happening just last Saturday, November 9, in London with the film’s director, Rob Marshall. The news that he secured the role was announced a mere three days later.
His father is restaurant royalty.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Hauer-King’s mother, an American theater producer named Debra Hauer, gave birth to the future Prince Eric in England. His father is a British restaurateur named Jeremy King; he’s actually the “King” in Corbin & King, the mega hospitality company worth around $60 million.
Before little mermaids, he starred in a British series with “Little Women.”
As Theodore “Laurie” Laurence, Hauer-King joined Maya Hawke, who played protag Jo March, and Kathryn Newton, Willa Fitzgerald, and Annes Elwy, who played her sisters, for a small-screen adaptation of the Louisa May Alcott classic Little Women. And judging from the social feeds of the cast, the stars had fun in front of and behind the camera.
Hauer-King shows off his smoulder in the World on Fire series.
A WWII period drama that tells the stories of everyday joes affected by the battles and their aftermath, World on Fire is the PBS Masterpiece series you’re probably not watching. But should you want to get acquainted with the smouldering good looks and chiseled facial features of the future prince, then tuning in wouldn’t be a bad idea. Plus, it co-stars Mad About You’s Helen Hunt.
He’s headed to Blumhouse.
In addition to the Ashley Judd-fronted A Dog’s Way Home, Hauer-King has a few big-screen gigs on his IMDb resume. Aside from The Little Mermaid, the most exciting upcoming title is Once Upon a Time in Staten Island. A coming-of-age drama that’s keeping its plot details understandably tight-lipped, the film comes from Purge maestro James DeMonaco and the production house that Jason Blum built. Co-stars include Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, and Method Man.
Fans are already thirsting for the princely pick.
Just browsing the posts with the hashtag #jonahhauerking delivers some pretty positive feedback from Little Mermaid fans. Not to mention a ton of heart-eye emoji and plenty of exclamation points. Take a peek at some of the responses below.
Be on the lookout for The Little Mermaid in 2020.

From TeenVogue: Movies Disney's “The Little Mermaid” Casts Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric He's part of their world. BY KARA NESVIG NOVEMBER 13, 2019
Disney has finally found the perfect Prince Eric for their live-action Little Mermaid remake, and no, it's not Harry Styles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Jonah Hauer-King has officially signed on to play Ariel's swashbuckling love interest.
So who is Jonah Hauer-King? He's a London-based actor who has appeared in a few projects, including the BBC adaptation of Little Women, as well as their program World on Fire. According to the Reporter, the final decision came down to Jonah and Krypton star Cameron Cuffe for the role, though Harry Styles's name was bandied about to play the prince. While we may have to wait to see Harry take on another film role, we think that Jonah will be the perfect Prince Eric. He's got the tousled hair, dreamy eyes, and even Eric's signature dimples, so it's easy to see how a mermaid would fall in love with him.
Jonah is the last of the major castings to be announced for the forthcoming remake of the 1989 animated film. He will join Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as the sea witch Ursula, Javier Bardem as Ariel's father King Triton, Awkwafina as the voice of the seagull Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay as Ariel's BFF Flounder the fish, and Hamilton star Daveed Diggs as Sebastian the singing crab. Director Rob Marshall, who helmed the Oscar-winning Chicago musical, will translate the movie from animated to live-action, with a few new songs from Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The main cast is now complete, but we still don't know when the movie will start filming; The Hollywood Reporter estimates that the film will begin production in early 2020. Until then, we'll have to satisfy our craving for some underwater romance with the original Little Mermaid, now that Disney+ is live and streaming.

From Collider: ‘The Little Mermaid’ Finds Prince Eric in Relative Newcomer Jonah Hauer-King BY DAVE TRUMBORE NOVEMBER 13, 2019
The cast of Disney’s live-action take on The Little Mermaid is shaping up. The film, directed by Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns), already stars Halle Bailey (Grown-ish) as mermaid princess Ariel under the sea with Melissa McCarthy as evil aunt Ursula. Also among the oceangoing characters are Javier Bardem‘s kindly but powerful King Triton and Daveed Diggs as singing (we hope) crab, Sebastian. But as of today, Disney has started to flesh out the surface cast, starting with Prince Eric.
As Variety reports, relative newcomer Jonah Hauer-King (Little Women, World on Fire) will play the male lead of Prince Eric opposite Bailey’s Ariel. The role almost went to Harry Styles, but he turned it down, so it’s Hauer-King’s time to shine. It remains to be seen just how Eric’s role will change for this version of the tale. The last time he took to the big screen in the 1989 Disney animated classic, the prince was rescued at sea by Ariel, which started their whole romantic relationship in a bit of a twist on convention. However, Eric never sang in the film, pretty much the only Disney prince who hasn’t. Will Hauer-King change that?
David Magee (Life of Pi) is writing the latest script that adapts the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, reuniting him with Marshall after their last collaboration on Mary Poppins Returns. (Fans of Tomi Adeyemi‘s story “Children of Blood and Bone” should keep an eye on Magee’s work as well since he’s adapting the novel for an upcoming feature film.) Another reunion is at play behind the scenes as Hamilton creatives Diggs and Lin-Manuel Miranda will also be working together again. Miranda will produce the film alongside Marshall but also provides lyrics for new music from the original animated movie’s composer, Alan Menken.

An italian article from Vanity Fair Italy: Jonah Hauer-King: sarà lui il principe Eric nel live-action de «La Sirenetta»
Proprio come Jonah Hauer-King.

English Translation:
Jonah Hauer-King: he will be Prince Eric in the live-action "La Sirenetta"
The British actor, born in 1995, will be the male protagonist of the new Disney live-action directed by Oscar-winning director Rob Marshall. It will take the place of Harry Styles, initially designated for the role but then forced to forfeit An actor's life changes thanks to the right part. That of Jonah Hauer-King, born in 1995, is one of the big ones, which until a few months ago seemed firm in the hands of Harry Styles: let's talk about the role of Prince Eric in the live-action of La Sirenetta, the new remake of the Disney direct house by Oscar-winning director Rob Marshall. After several auditions sustained in London, it was Jonah, an unknown actor but who is destined to make the heart of millions of fans, to snatch the part.
Originally from London, where he was born and raised, Jonah Hauer-King participated only in small productions. One of the most recent is that of the BBC miniseries dedicated to the world of Little Women, in which she played the part of Laurie Laurence, a role that will soon be given to Timothée Chalamet in the version signed by Greta Gerwig. Together with him in the live-action de La Sirenetta there will be, as we know, the very young Halle Bailey, the singer of the duo Chloe x Halle who caused various controversies on the part of the purists because of the color of her skin. To enrich the cast will also be Jacob Tremblay, the protagonist child of Room and Wonder who will be the Flounder minnow, Awkwafina who will lend the face to Scuttle the gull, Melissa McCarthy in the role of a perfidious Ursula and, dulcis in fundo, Javier Bardem in those of King Triton.
The script will be signed by David Magee, who is working on the final version after the abandonment of Jane Goldman. Among the producers, in addition to Marshall himself, there are also Marc Platt, John DeLuca and Lin-Manuel Miranda, whom we saw in action in The Return of Mary Poppins and who will take care of the creation of the new musical pieces of the Little Mermaid in collaboration with Alan Menken . The wait is, as always, a thousand and the idea of such a fresh and young cast, as happened with Aladdin's live-action, is certainly stimulating for the discovery of new talents who could make a career . Just like Jonah Hauer-King.

Really hoping he gets to do an American accent for Eric.

From USAToday: Forbes '30 Under 30' teens who could rule Hollywood: Finn Wolfhard, Halle Bailey and more Charles Trepany USA TODAY
Published 11:18 PM EST Dec 3, 2019
Imagine becoming a top player in your field before you're old enough to drink. Or having Beyoncé guide you through adolescence. Or pitching a feature film at age 10.
That's what these teen stars have accomplished. Forbes released their "30 Under 30" list for 2020 Tuesday, which features dozens of trailblazers across 20 industries from the United States and Canada. This year, five teen entertainment stars made the cut, down from nine teen entertainers on last year's list.
Forbes says on their website the "young, creative and bold minds" on this year's list "are proof positive that the future will be new, exciting and profoundly different."
Relish that quarter/mid-life crisis by getting to know the teen entertainers in the 2020 lineup:
Finn Wolfhard, 16
Wolfhard may have found his first acting gig on Craigslist, according to Forbes, but hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? And at 16, the breakout star seems to have quite a bright future in Hollywood.
In addition to starring in "Stranger Things" since 2016, Wolfhard played a part in 2017's "It" and reprised his role for the 2019 sequel "It Chapter Two."
He's also appeared in "The Goldfinch" and "The Addams Family" this year, and he has a part in an upcoming "Ghostbusters" project due for 2020.
Halle Bailey, 19
Bailey made waves when Disney announced she would take on the iconic role of Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid."
Though the casting inspired backlash, the 19-year-old has swum past the haters to Forbes' latest "30 Under 30" list, where she shares a spot for music with her 21-year-old sister, Chloe.
"I feel like I'm dreaming, and I'm just grateful, and I don't pay attention to the negativity," Bailey told Variety of her casting. "I just feel like this role was something bigger than me and greater, and it's going to be beautiful. I'm just so excited to be a part of it."
Halle Bailey breaks her silence on 'Little Mermaid' casting backlash: 'I don't pay attention to the negativity'
The sisters make up the music act Chloe x Halle. They dropped their debut album, "The Kids are Alright," last year. They also opened for Beyoncé on her Formation tour, and the music mogul has become a mentor to them.
"She’s always just motivating us and letting us know that we just need to trust our gut and our intuition," Chloe told USA TODAY of Beyoncé ahead of their album's release, adding that the "Single Ladies" songstress tells them to "never compromise yourself or your music for anybody."
Chloe x Halle on their debut album, 'Grown-ish' and Beyoncé's advice
Marsai Martin, 15
"Black-ish" star Martin became one of the youngest executive producers in Hollywood with the 2019 film "Little," in which she also starred.
But her involvement with the project didn't start there – she originally pitched the idea for the film when she was just 10.
“I remember just being so cool and chillax, even though everyone else was nervous in the room,” she told USA TODAY on the red carpet at the film's April premiere. “I was like ‘Nah, we got this.’ "
According to Forbes, "Little" grossed $50 million at the box office on a $20 million budget.
In addition to making "Little," Universal has signed a deal with the young star's new production company to develop scripted projects.
'Little' premiere: Teen Executive Producer Marsai Martin remembers how 'cool and chillax' her pitch was
Phillip Youmans, 19
Youmans' directorial work is already earning heaps of praise.
When his film, "Burning Cane," was accepted at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, Youmans became the youngest director ever to have an entry there.
When he won the Founders Award, he also became the first African American director to win the top prize for narrative film.
For "Burning Cane," Youmans also won best cinematography in a U.S. narrative feature film at the festival. The jury praised his work as "searingly original."
Asante Blackk, 18
Blackk had his breakout role in the 2019 Netflix miniseries "When They See Us," about five teens falsely accused of a brutal Central Park attack.
Since then, Blackk has gone on to a recurring role in the hit NBC series "This Is Us," where he plays Malik Hodges, a young single father.
Blackk described his "Us" character to People magazine as “someone that I’ve never really seen on screen and on TV before."
“I’m glad that we’re breaking that stereotype with this character," he added. "He loves his daughter and will do anything for her. But also he has a very supportive family, and he’s not just in it alone. His parents are there for them. They let them know that this is his responsibility, and they have his back regardless.”

From Houston Chronicle: Arts & Entertainment // Music Chloe x Halle will help Houston ring in the Christmas season
Joey Guerra Nov. 30, 2019 Updated: Nov. 30, 2019 11:45 a.m.
Houston’s holiday season officially kicks off this weekend —with a little help from a Grammy-nominated sister act.
Chloe x Halle headline the Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular, Saturday at Hermann Square at City Hall. The lineup also features Houston’s Uché, who made the top 10 on “American Idol” Season 17; and a performance from Theatre Under the Stars’ “Elf — The Musical.”
And, of course, the tree lighting.
Chloe x Halle's debut album, “The Kids are Alright,” helped earn them a best new artist Grammy nomination earlier this year. They first attracted attention posting covers on YouTube and eventually signed with Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment management company.
They currently star as track running sisters on the Freeform series “grownish.” Halle Bailey made huge waves earlier this year when she was cast as Ariel in Disney’s live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid.” Not one to be outdone, Chloe Bailey will star in “The Georgetown Project,” a horror film with Russell Crowe and Sam Worthington.
Before the cameras roll, they took time to jointly answer a few holly-jolly questions via email.
Mayor's Holiday Spectacular featuring Chloe x Halle
With: Uché, Nathan Rocha, Tamar Davis and a performance from Theatre Under the Stars’ “Elf — The Musical.”
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
Where: Hermann Square at City Hall, 901 Bagby
Q: What’s your favorite Christmas memory?
A: We went to Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park and it was the most magical feeling. Atlanta doesn’t get that much snow, so seeing the artificial snow all around us felt so surreal. We will never forget that moment.
Q: Favorite Christmas album/song?
A: It would definitely have to be Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas” album, Destiny Child’s “8 Days of Christmas” album, and Wham!’s “Last Christmas” song.
Q: A food that makes you think of Christmas?
A: Vegan sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes and Christmas sugar cookies.
Q: What’s on your Christmas list this year?
A: We would love to be able to relax and spend time with family and loved ones.
Q: You’ll help Houston ring in the season – home of Bey! What comes to mind when you think of Houston?
A: Houston has always shown us so much love. Y’all have the best energy. We’re so happy to be back and bring in the holiday spirit together.
Q: You recently tweeted about a new album. What can we expect this time around?
A: Definitely expect to hear a lot growth. You’ll get a taste of what we’ve been going through personally and you’ll hear our stories through the music.

‘The Little Mermaid’ Star Halle Bailey Stuns In Sparkly Garter Belt Mini Dress Halle glittered like a diamond and showed off her dance moves during a show in Los Angeles.
Halle Bailey proved that she’s a real style star during a concert in Los Angeles. On Sunday, Halle and her sister, Chloe Bailey, used their joint Instagram page to show off the sparkly costumes that they rocked during their performance at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.
Halle, 19, and Chloe, 21, make up the R&B duo Chloe x Halle. There’s been an increased interest in the sister act since Halle was cast in Disney’s live adaptation of The Little Mermaid, and their latest concert outfits might be evidence that Halle is going to rule the red carpet when she begins walking down it as a Disney princess.
In a snapshot of the Bailey sisters’ coordinated outfits, Halle was pictured rocking a dazzling black mini dress that had been completely bedazzled with glittering crystals. The garment had long sleeves and a wide, plunging V neck that exposed Halle’s bra. Her undergarment was also covered with rhinestones.
Halle’s dress featured a corset-like detail on the front that highlighted her slender waist. On a panel of fabric, tight clusters of crystals were arranged to look like the boning of a corset. The panel doubled as a garter belt that was attached to two crystal-covered straps. The straps extended down to the above-the-knee stockings that Halle was rocking. On her feet, she wore a pair of black lace-up booties that were also encrusted with crystals.
Halle wore her long box braids up in a high ponytail. For her beauty look, she sported dark curled lashes, shimmery silver eye shadow, and a glossy pink lip. Chloe’s makeup was almost identical to her sister’s, and the girls’ outfits were also very similar. Chloe’s ensemble was also covered with crystals, and it, too, included a garter belt. However, instead of completely matching her sister by sporting a mini dress, she rocked a hooded crop top and hot pants.
Chloe and Halle’s looks got plenty of love on Instagram, where their set of ten concert photos has received over 338,000 likes so far.
“Fire does not begin to describe these looks,” wrote musician TK Wonder in the comments section of their post.
“Shine Bright Like a Diamond,” read another response to their photos.
“These looks are everything omg,” a third fan wrote
“Wish I could be part of your world,” a fourth admirer remarked.

From Twitter: Skyler Shuler @skylershuler I'm no betting man, but THE LITTLE MERMAID taking the July 30, 2021 release date seems likely, especially after all the financial success THE LION KING just had this past July.
