Oh, haha. I remember the Thirteenth Year. It was cute. Okay, I'm really starting to like everyone's ideas of Beast!Eric and now really would love to see some fanart him and Ariel I think either way, he'd still be attractive, even if he was a monster. Granted he wouldn't be happy persay, but attractive. LOL Though I'm not saying it couldn't be done in fanfic or what have you. Oh, speaking of; he'd make SUCH a good vampire. XD It's all that inner conflict, mixed with his black hair and blue eyes

LOL. Might as well do it myself since I could use the practice, but I'd love if someone more talented than I did it Ooh. Eric and Ariel as vampires. tehe. I can see them being all about their vampire-love PLOT BUNNY! Okay, I got this idea where Eric is cursed when he's a baby, that he live as a man by day and a monster by night. (Too much like Fiona?) Perhaps, since maybe he had really shallow parents, and they p***** off and a witch, or the witch was just mean. LOL But I can see that fitting him, since he gets thrown into crappy situations mostly through no fault of his own. LOL The spell would also have to be broken by his eighteenth birthday or he'd be a monster all the time. ::devil grin:: Anyway, no one would really know, except Grimsby and Car. Eric would mostly go to his room for the night early. In there; he'd develope his over-thinking habbit, hate the way he'd look and jsut want to be over with it. Blah, Blah, angst, angst! LOL He knows that "true loves kiss" can break it. The problem is he's around a bunch of spoiled, shallow, noble girls, and can't really go to many gatherings being that he doesn't want anyone to see him in his other form. But he would go out at late at night from time to time, dressed in a cloak, or go for a swim in the ocean since I think we all agree he'd be a sea-creature thing of some sort. One night while he's out for a swim Ariel gets caught in a pirates net. They comtempate what they'd do with her-nothing nice in mind Then Eric would show up and scare the sh@$t out of them, fight them off then get Ariel out of there. She's first a little scared of him since she's never seen anything like him before. But once he saves her, she's feels connected to him automatically. And he with her. She'd then want to talk and thank him for saving her, but he's so embarassed to meet the girl of his dreams when he's in his montrous form. So he leaves fairly abruptly. Though he wants to stay with her. Then not long after Ariel would save him during the day, she'd be taken with him, but not know he's the monster. Mostly the same as when she saw him in the movie at first. But of course would leave before he woke. When she was gone he'd realize it was her! Then is kicking himself for not being awake when she was there. In the mean time Ariel would be conflicted by the monster-man thing and the lovely prince, since she feels something for both of them. I get wayy to carried away on ideas XD

That sounds adorable! I'd totally read that.
Hmmm...What if his parents like accidently made the witch upset by trespassing on her property or picking the wrong flower or something?

Yays, thank you. I also like the idea of a role reversal where Ariel is the uncertain one LOL Those are good suggestions for the witch, since I didn't really have anything specific of what would set the woman off. LOL Or could be a warlock. "Indeed your child will be tall, dark, and the most handsome in the land.... But when the sun sets he'll appear as Poseidon's left hand!" (left hand being the "evil" one or "bad") XD

I like it! Let me try: For the sins of father and mother By the sun's whim, let the son be By day, light of the kingdom By night, dark of the sea And a only true love Shall set him free Ehh...needs work.

No, no that's good. I love talking about wording the horrible spell on Eric. I'm a little sadistic XD For the sins of the father and Mother By the sun's whim, let him be By day, the shining beacon of the kingdom By night, the darkness of the sea will encase him In the eightteen years if true love is not found As a monster he is forever bound.

I doodle on every paper I get a hold of, and one of the drawings I did the other day was of a mermaid wrapped around the Leviathan. I'm not that great of an artist and it was just a pen doodle, but it reminded me of this thread. XD It (sort of) has fanfic connections, though you can pretend the depressed-looking beast is a cursed Eric. I did a bigger one in pencil yesterday, but it's not as good.
I've totally been abusing the soundtrack to the musical "Dracula" lately. It reminds me so much of Eric. XD

Dang, we are all about the depressing topics lately, aren't we?
Here's something fun. We discussed what Eric might get Ariel as a gift, but what would she give him?

What can we say? We love angst! XD Now Ariel I think would have a really hard time trying to come up with something. What do you get the boy who has everything? LOL So I can see her trying to make him something or write a special song for him. Maybe "kidnap" him for just a day of fun. You know; swimming, picnic, exploring, smooching, sunset. XD Erin doesn't get to have much time doing what he wants to do, so I think he'd value free time. Oh, and here's some new fanart that I can only discribe as Eric in a Tim Burton movie- which I happen to really like biodin.deviantart.com/art/Little-Mermaid-Emo-Eric-118820643

First let me go back to a few posts ago and say, Elphie, Eye of the Beholder is my FAVORITE Aladdin episode! I'm just really glad that someone else knows of it.
To answer the gift question, I devulge a part of my ever-threatened Christmas story. So in going through the castle's storage for decorations, Ariel, Eric, and Carlotta find Eric's old model ship that his father gave him. It had broken years ago and no one was ever able to fix it. Well, Ariel can't have that. Long story short, she gets it fixed and that's Eric's present.
I do think some free time would be a great gift too, Frida. He'd get a kick out of that. Maybe there's a nice little port town an hour's sail away from the kingdom and Ariel can take Eric there for a day so they get a little vacation and some time on a ship. Oh, the possibilities...

Okay, back in the day I loved the Aladdin epsiode "Sandswitch" where Sadira and Jasmine switch places. It was released on a Princess Collection tape with "Eye of the Beholder", which I of course had to have, so I am very familiar with that episode.
The gift...I like both the day off and the model ship idea. I could also see Ariel maybe arranging to get a rare beautiful seashell or something that Eric has been looking for for a long time.

I really loved the Aladdin show when it was on. Those were both great episodes. Hey does anyone know if Sadira and Mozerath ended up together? Or am I thinking of something else? XD Can I just say that I LOVE how everyone expresses their different thoughts and opinions. That we don' get offended, or throw a fit, every time somebody has another point of view in our little thread Cute idea, Aquisha! Do you have a link for the story? And IS there a snowball fight between Ariel and Eric in it? XD

Cute idea, Aquisha! Do you have a link for the story? And IS there a snowball fight between Ariel and Eric in it? XD -facepalm- Way to ruin Chapter 8, Frida!I'm glad someone other than me believes it isn't perpetually summer in...wherever Eric lives. I thought my readers might get angry with me because I made it snow. But it snows in Italy, Denmark, France AND England. So there. XD I love everyone's gift ideas. I could imagine Ariel, a couple months before Eric's birthday, hear him talking about an object he lost at sea long ago. If she recognized it as an item from her grotto, she could bring it back to him. That or some unique item from the sea, like a sculpted coral or something else mer-handmade. Along with that, she'd definitely give Eric some free time. I think Eric might be apprehensive about it at first, but once he got far enough away from the kingdom, he'd appreciate some R&R. I can imagine Eric waking up at three in the morning to Ariel preparing ways to sneak out of the palace. XD

Um...that story has been tossed around in my head for like two years. It will get done, some time, that I can promise. I'll let you know...
And yes, Zavi, I always like to think that even though the kingdom is near the ocean that it can still get considerable snowfall, mostly because I just think that Ariel should be able to see snow!
And I LOVE Mozenrath! What makes me so sad is that they were going to make Mozenrath and Aladdin brothers in the third Aladdin movie, but the actor who voiced Mozenrath died before that could be done. Beyond unfortunate for numerous reasons. But long live those of us who loved Aladdin the animated series. Any fans of the Aladdin/Hercules crossover episode...?

I agree on the snow front. The landscape didn't scream tropical to me. I always assumed that they had seasons in Eric's Kingdom.
Mozenrath and Sadira never met in the series. But yes, they would have made an awesome couple...Once Moze was rehabilitated.
IIRC the higher ups decided it would be better to distance King of Thieves from the TV series which was why the plot was changed. Jonathan Brandis (Mozenrath's VA) didn't die until 2003, though he was of course still far too young.
"Hercules and the Arabian Knight"? I LOVE that episode. Actually the series in general, but that one in particular was hysterical.
You know, looking back, I'm pretty sure Moze was one of my many many inspirations for Daemon, at least subconsciously.

Oh I love Hercules and the Arabian Night! Mainly because I'm a huge Herc fan, but seeing Aladdin in it is really cool. I wish Disney would do more crossovers with the Disney Boys meeting each other.
And I do love Mozenrath! You know, for some reason, I could see him as Jafar's long-lost nephew or something XD
An Ariel vs. Eric snowball fight would be awesome XD. I'm rooting for Ariel.

I used to watch the Aladdin and Hercules tv shows like a religion when I was a kid. But I did prefer the recent one about Tarzan... It was a shame that they didn't do more collabs with TLM because they would have been awsome. I'm betting five bucks that Ariel would win in a snowball fight in less than three shots! Anybody with me?? Time for a new topic? I think so... any ideas??

Wanted to revive this.
If Disney were to make a fourth movie, this time focusing on our beloved prince, what would you like to see?
