Well, I could see a cameo or something, but personally I'd like to see something on Eric's childhood, and how he interacts with his kingdom. Don't get me wrong, I love Ariel and all, but I think Eric deserved some more screen time, and we don't really know too terribly much about him.

Hi, this is my first time in here and I just think it's really awesome that you made this thread about Eric! I have been a huge fan of the little mermaid ever since I was a toddler. Once I was old enough to understand the concept of the whole story all my mind was saying ' Why do we not have more movies like this!' I still love the little mermaid and always will. My favorite character (besides Ariel) is Eric. He is just a total stick out from the rest of the animated princly guys, and that is what makes everybody fall head over heels for him! I am starting my writing here soon, so most of them would be about Ariel and Eric. It's just fun to imagine them having a normal, everyday situation. I know that I'll have a great time in this thread!

Welcome to the boards and the thread! I agree that it is fun to imagine them in a normal situation. They're the first Disney couple to seem 'real', you know? They have their flaws and strengths like everyone else, and they fit like pieces of a puzzle

Nothing in particular, but I'm up for a new topic. How about a live-action Eric? I think this guy: would make an awesome Eric. He's in the video series on Youtube "A Very Potter Musical." He played Harry and was great.

He'd make a great Eric! Oh, someone mentioned about how Eric would make a great vampire. I thought so too! I can totally picture Eric being a very handsome vampire! Plot bunny! Eric is born as a half-vampire because his father was a vampire, his mother was a normal human. Because he is half-vampire, he feels torn and doesn't know where he belongs: the vampires or the humans. The other vampires who know his father, do treat him nicely. The other humans are unaware of his heritage but they are very few who do and talk behind his back. Grimsby and Carlotta know about Eric's heritage because they were the only humans who knew about the marriage between Eric's human mother and vampire father. Somehow, in the story, he meets Ariel. She was a bit scared of him at first, but strangely, she automatically feels connected to him and vice-versa. Ariel is the soul mate that Eric has been searching for! They would go out on dates at night and both started falling deeper in love with each other! quote]

Oh, lord.... Please don't tell me you read that **creepy** oneshot about Ariel and Eric's wedding nght? 0_o Eww, augh, are you talking about the one that's one of the first items on Google? Like, the one I've been trying to rid from my memory for months? Dear God, I sent my friends an angry/disturbed e-mail saying how my childhood was ruined forever. Brain bleach, please? I may need several gallons... I think Max may have been adopted, or perhaps he was a stray. He seems pretty young--no older than six or so--but I suppose he and Eric bonded pretty quickly. Eric seems like the type who's good with animals. Do you still have Brain Bleach that I can use? I accidentally read (more like skimmed) that creepy one-shot of Ariel/Eric's wedding night! (BLECH!) It is times like this, when I wish I don't know where babies come from.

hey all, I'm officially bringing this thread back from the dead bc still to this day in the year twenty twenty, people are STILL hating on Prince Eric without actually watching the movie and realizing he has always cared for Ariel! did we all just forget the whole scene where he throws his flute into the sea and gives up on finding the mystery girl because his life has now been forever changed by Ariel he goes to talk to her and MAYBE even propose to her?? (bc it happens literally right before Ursula as Vanessa places him under a spell that messes with that entire plan soooo i get why it could get overlooked, but never forget!!!)
