Ahh Hercules. I absolutely adore this movie! I actually got into a debate with someone about it a few days ago, concerning the fact that Hercules is a Greek myth, and how Disney changed the story. But that proves my point. Hercules was not a real person, he's from Greek mythology, so what's the big deal if Disney puts their own spin on it? I can understand someone being upset over a movie like Pocahontas, since the events in her life actually happened. I don't mind Disney taking a creative spin on that one either.
Anyway, Hercules is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I love the music, the animation, and the characters. Meg is one of my favorite Disney heroines, not being the typical damsel in distress. And I think the character Hercules is just so perfect. Here's this sweet, caring guy, with this huge muscular body. Oh, and he's also a God. It's just amazing. And the comic relief is great too: Pain and Panic, and also Phil.
I actually recently bought Go the Distance and put it on my iPod. Such an inspirational song. Fun to sing along to as well. ;D

Ohh this is a tough one. I think it'd be between The Three Caballeros and Fun and Fancy Free. I remember watching The Three Caballeros all the time when I was little, and just loving every second of it. Fun and Fancy free was a favorite of brother's, so I have good memories associated with that one. Hm... but I think there's something about The Three Caballeros that I just really love. I actually haven't seen it in a really long time. Wonder if it's on Youtube...

That is going to be so amazing! I heard that Disney is basically getting a total "face lift" as an article I read called it. ;D I think that's awesome that they're revamping everything, and finally getting some awesome Little Mermaid stuff!

I agree, I think 2D would have looked much better. There's something about the 3D animation I just don't like. I also can't get used to the fact that Tinker Bell talks. The voice doesn't seem to fit her at all, since in Peter Pan she always had that sassy attitude, and now she just seems all sweet and innocent. I still think it looks like it'll be cute, but it's almost as if they took the idea of Tinker Bell's look and created a new character. That's just me though, I definitely prefer the classics.

I am speechless. Oh my gosh! It looks really amazing. But I mean, Tim Burton is an absolute genius, so I wouldn't expect any less.
And Johnny Depp... woah. Again he amazes me by completely transforming into the character. Amazing.

Ah! That just made me so excited for this movie! Tim Burton's movies always come out spectacular, well, to me at least. haha! The costumes look stunning as well as the makeup. I really have a feeling this is going to be a great version of Alice in Wonderland!

As many people have already said, it's hard to choose just one scene from the original Little Mermaid since it was just so amazing. But, it would probably have to be "Part of their World" when she's in the grotto. Her voice is just amazing, I love the lighting, and that free spirited, day dreaming Ariel is the one I fell in love with.
The second Little Mermaid... eh. I've never been much of a fan of sequels, so it's sort of hard to pick a scene from this one. Ariel was just so different, which I realize would happen seeing as she's older and has a child, but still, that's why I prefer they just stop after the first movie. haha! But I did like when she steps into the sea and the wind blows through her hair, it takes you back to the original Ariel, even if it's only for a few seconds.
The third... hm. Not a fan of this movie, and only saw it once. I guess seeing Ariel's mother and King Triton together was a good scene, in the very beginning.

I think I'd have to go with Herc. It came down to him and Aladdin, but Al seemed a little shallow to me. Since he sees Jasmine, thinks she's drop dead gorgeous and becomes determined to be a prince to win her over. Although, Hercules was a bit shallow too, but I think I'm looking too far into this so I'll stop. I like Hercules because he was so willing to sacrifice everything just to save Meg. First he was willing to give up his strength for her to be freed from Hades, then he jumped in the pool of souls to save her, and then he gave up an immortal life as a God to remain on earth with her. Aww! That's just me being a hopeless romantic. ;]

The beginning gave me goosebumps with the whole Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast clips. haha! Anyway, I think it looks like it'll be alright. I agree with Random saying it looks similar to the Swan Princess, I thought of that right when the frog started taking, and then with the swirling water. I just hope they're not frogs throughout the entire movie, I've never really been a big fan of the animal Disney movies; Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, Jungle Book... etc. I know, that makes me sound like a terrible Disney fan, but I prefer the traditional romances with, well, humans. haha! But it looks like it'll be cute, I'll definitely see it.

Oh yeah, weren't some of these pictures on the DVD? I love looking at them since it shows how far the characters have come. There were a few drawings of Ursula that made me glad that she turned out how she did in the end. It's really interesting to think about how the movie would have been different without the characters we know. Like, what if Ariel had been blonde or brunette instead of a red head? I just think it's cool to get a glimpse into the minds of the creators.

I think having a Little Mermaid ride would be great! I remember watching the bonus material on the special edition DVD and they had the tour of the ride they wanted to make. It seemed like a really great idea, and it sort of reminded me of Peter Pan's Flight in Magic Kingdom. I think it'd be a nice nod to the Little Mermaid as one of the Disney classics since so many new movies have been released recently.

Aww I love all of the Disney on Ice shows! I just recently saw one, and the name of it escapes me at the moment. The basic premise was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy were all on some sort of trip, and they ended up "visiting" different Disney movies. So, it'll show them "on the beach" then transition into the Little Mermaid, then Lilo and Stitch. Some of the other movies were Peter Pan and the Lion King.
But yeah, I'd love to see the Disney Princess one! I've seen one like it before, and it was probably my favorite. And after looking through those pictures it just makes me want to see the show even more!! I always get nervous for the skaters though for some reason. haha! I'm all like paranoid one of them is going to fall.

I just finished an essay for English, and I actually feel pretty good about it, so I'm turning it in tomorrow and hoping I get a good grade! Lately I've been feeling SO overwhelmed with school stuff. It's my last semester of high school, and to be perfectly honest... I've kind of checked out. hah! I mean, I'm a senior, so I'm like, "ehh I can do that worksheet tomorrow... I'll write that paper over the weekend..." etc. So, things have been starting to build up. Plus, I'm trying to decide which college I want to go to. AHH! This is kind of an understatement. Tomorrow I have to be video taped during English, because my class is doing a project to help out refugee students. We're creating little lessons to post on a website that the kids can access that will help them better learn how to read and write. BUT... I am SO nervous to step in front of the camera and speak while the whole class is watching. :[

Ohh I love all of the new pictures! It looks like it's going to be a really good movie, I can't wait to see it! It's really refreshing that Disney is making new Princess movies rather than making sequels to the originals. They did that for a while, and the movies went straight to video. I miss seeing new stories with new characters to fall in love with. And I mean, Giselle from Enchanted was a pretty big hit, so maybe this movie will do well too. :]
