Ohh this is pretty tough. I mean, at first I wanted to go for Prince Eric right away... but I really love Beauty and the Beast, so I'm kind of being pulled toward Prince Adam... hm. Neither of them base their relationship with the girl off of appearance. Like, when Aladdin sees Jasmine he's just like "Oh I have to marry her because she's so gorgeous!" That's probably just me looking too far into a Disney movie... but hey.
Then the other princes are just pathetic. No offense to anybody who likes them, of course. Prince Phillip didn't do anything in order to get his love, the three good fairies basically did all the dirty work and all he had to do was kiss the girl. Prince Charming and the Prince just... lack personality I guess. They're just that sort of "tall, dark and handsome" stereotype of what all girls want. Pshht.
Prince Edward... hm. I loved Enchanted, and thought he was hilarious, but honestly, he's very, very conceited. hah! At least he went after his love though. *shrug* I actually really like John Smith as well. That whole forbidden love thing is just so exciting! It's different from the typical fairy tales with the prince/princess or the princess/guy or prince/girl. Shang is okay too... but he doesn't come off as a romantic, which is what I love.
Ok, so it's down to Prince Eric, Prince Adam, and John Smith. Well, I don't think I know enough about Prince Adam to choose him. I mean, the whole movie he was basically the Beast, and the Beast did have some anger problems. But he did love with all of his heart when he realized he was falling for Belle. And we all know Prince Eric is just amazing all around. He's not a bratty prince at all, he didn't think Ariel was the girl he was searching for, but he still gave her a chance and saw that even though she couldn't speak he was falling for her. Plus he risks his life just to make sure him and Ariel don't get separated, he's a fighter I must say. Then John Smith is just a babe. I like them rugged like him, sort of like Captain Phoebes too. ;]
ARGH! I always look too far into this and then end up just confusing myself by talking about all of the qualities of the subjects, so now I don't know! But... I think I am going to go with Prince Eric. I still love John and Adam though. ;]

Oh wow, those pictures are gorgeous! I don't really like Melody, but those pictures of her make her more... likeable? And the first one of Ariel and Eric is stunning! I love how Ariel's dress is sort of modled after sea-related things.

Oh I loved the Great Mouse Detective! Ratigan is definitely one of my favorite villains. He's one of those bad guys who also has that comical side, which I think makes an even better villain. Just like Hades and Prince John. =P When I was little I remember the scene with Fidget, the creepy little bat, when he captured Olivia's father. It scared me so much!! He was pretty funny after that scene, but just that one creeped me out!
I was never a really big fan of the Fox and the Hound. Not sure why. I loved the two birds though, unfortunately their names escape me at the moment. They were really funny though, like how they were so persistent in trying to catch that caterpillar. haha!
Oliver and Company was really good as well. The beginning always depressed me though, since he didn't get adopted out of the box. :[ But it was definitely a really cute movie, and talking about it now is really making me want to watch it! haha!

When I say rocks, I mean like a cliff. www.fanpop.com/spots/beauty-and-the-beast/images/1712898 All that rock stuff surrounding the river. I think it'd be kind of disturbing to show a lifeless Gaston floating down a river. Disney seems to like having the deaths quick and not very graphic. By showing him screaming, plummeting down into a raging river, I think it gets the point across. Anyway, that's for another thread, so I'll leave it at that.

Oh, no I wasn't directing it at you pokeria1, I was just saying how I feel that I wouldn't mind it getting a 3-D makeover as long as they kept the original story. What would you want them to do in order to show Gaston is in fact dead? It seemed quite for sure that he was a goner when they showed him fall down into blackness which was like surrounded by rocks and stuff. But I kind of get what you mean, most of the other Disney villains die more... obviously? Like Ursula getting impaled by the ship. Although, how did the evil Queen in Snow White die? Didn't the dwarves shove her off of a cliff too? I dunno. haha!
Anyway, I'm definitely one of those people who doesn't really like change when it comes to the Disney movies. I can barely watch the sequels because they almost always have different voice actors, and it just doesn't feel like it fits with the original story. Even when they added in "Human Again" for the new Beauty and the Beast DVD, I didn't like it. That song was written while they were working on BATB, but since I fell in love with the movie without it, it didn't feel right when they put it in. That's just me though.

I think it's great! Either way, it's the same story I fell in love with. If they were to change the story, get new voice actors and everything else while also making it 3-D, then I'd be upset. But if it's just going to be in 3-D, I think that's great! It's also a good way to introduce it to the younger generations who are growing up watching more of the Disney/Pixar movies. Not that anything's wrong with that. that's how my younger siblings are, but I just think it's nice to know and love the classics as well. :]

Wall-E

I forgot how cute Wall-E is! I saw it in theaters when it came out, but that was over the summer. We rented it a few days ago, and I watched it with my little brother. It's so adorable! It's definitely different for Disney, since it's a deeper issue and there isn't much dialog. But how can you not fall in love with Wall-E and Eve? Too cute!
I can see why people wouldn't like it though, since Disney movies normally do consist of singing and talking. It also felt a little long after a while. Like, one thing I hate about movies is how one second you think the issue or one of the issues is resolved, and it's not. When Wall-E and Eve are up in space trying to escape and save everybody, it seems like everything keeps going wrong. One second they're home free, the next, not so much. haha! Still, I thought it was really cute and funny. :]

I'm writing an essay for my English class, and I am really hoping I get a better grade on it than my last one. hah! Today was a snow day, and I have just felt really tired all day. I gotta write this essay, do a worksheet for Geography and write an article for Journalism. UH! Why must I always procrastinate?? I thought this suited how I'm feeling now, since it's sort of like a mixture of random emotions that I can't even name. I feel like emotional/mad/frustrated/happy/a bunc of other stuff! It's just... weird! haha!

Personally, I did not like this movie at all. It seemed like they tried too hard to bring back the same feel of the original, which didn't work out so well. I feel like almost all of the Disney sequels are just cheesier versions of the originals. That sounded harsh... but that's how it seems. All of the songs seemed rushed while the plot feels like it just drags on forever. Don't get me wrong, some of the sequels were pretty good, but I think Disney is better off sticking with coming up with original ideas rather than trying to add on to the classics. *shrug*

It's a bit late, but I wanted to jump into the thread, since I adore Prince Eric! ;] He's definitely my favorite Disney prince, probably because he's in the movie the most out of all the other princes! Minus Aladdin... but he wasn't an official prince till the end. haha! And Prince Phillip... but I don't really like him since he would never have escaped or gotten to the castle without the help of the three fairies. *shrugs* Eric on the other hand, has much more personality than many of the other princes. He doesn't come off as a prince, you know? He's so adventurous and rugged. I love it! haha! Plus, he fights for the woman he loves. When he finds out she's a mermaid, he still decides he's going to fight for her. "I lost her once, I'm not gonna lose her again!" SO cute! XD He does all of the saving by himself as well. He risks his life diving into the water even though he is aware there is this crazy sea witch down there. Then he gets onto the old sunken ship and defeats the massive, bloated Ursula to save the day! He didn't have any help from some fairies who can turn arrows into flowers, or help horses make huge jumps, or make chains disintegrate. Anyway, he's just cute overall I think.

So, the grotto is still in Disney World? They just got rid of it in Disneyland? Because I remember hearing about this and was really upset. Ariel's Grotto was always my favorite place to go ever since I was little. At least you're still able to visit Ariel, but I don't think it's as special as going to see her in her mermaid form. :[

Ohmygosh! Kingdom Hearts is most definitely my favorite video game! I can't decide whether I prefer the second or the first... but I think I may be leaning a little more toward the first. The bosses in the second, IMO, were way too easy, and the worlds went too fast. Plus, every time you entered a room there was a little movie clip. I'm like, "yes I understand I entered a new room. I don't need a little clip explaining every detail to me." haha!
Anyway, I loved the games! I can never decide on what my favorite world is. But in the first one, Atlantica was SO much fun! Ursula was pretty hard to beat, and that shark that would NOT die, was extremely irritating! Halloween Town was wicked awesome as well. Oogie Boogie was pretty tough too. I think all of the battles in the first were hard actually. Except Captain Hook, he was pretty easy since you could just fly around him and stuff. haha!
I think the whole story is just so original and creative! The whole heartless thing, then the nobodies with the second game. LOVE it! If you can't tell, I am very passionate about this game. ;] But it is really cool. I definitely recommend it to anybody who has never played it. Especially if you like Disney. I think it's so great to be able to battle side by side with characters like Ariel, Beast, Jack, Tarzan... etc. Plus being able to enter all of those worlds and get into the whole story. Total awesomeness IMO.

Gah! I can't make a decision! To be perfectly honest, I'm too fond of either of these princesses. haha! I mean, neither of them really went after their dreams like the other princesses. Ariel actually went to the sea witch in order to try and be with Eric, Jasmine ran away from home to try and find something more, Pocahontas risked everything in order to be with the man she loved while also bringing peace between the two fighting groups, Belle is an independent woman who is able to think for herself and was willing to sacrifice everything to save her father... anyway, I'm getting way off topic.
My point is, neither of these princesses did anything to get what they wanted. All of the mice and birds made that pink dress for Cinderella, so she didn't even try to go to the ball. Then when that didn't work out, her fairy god mother had to come and save the day. Then she's locked up in her room and can't get out to tell the Duke she's the one who danced with the prince. In the end, she gets the prince and lives happily ever after, but would not have been able to do it without the little mice.
Aurora spends her days picking berries and singing with the little woodland creatures while strolling barefoot through the forest. A handsome man happens upon her and they fall madly in love. Unfortunately she is easily tricked and pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and is asleep until Princey comes and kisses her back to life. And they live happily ever after.
Hm... well, seeing as Aurora was pretty much asleep the whole time and Cindy did try and get her prince, I suppose I'd have to say I prefer Cinderella. She doesn't come off as much of a damsel in distress as Aurora does. Plus there's that whole sort of success story with Cinderella. Since she goes from spending her days cleaning and obeying her step mother's/sister's every whim to getting to move into the castle with the man of her dreams.
And I don't wanna come off at all like I hate these movies, because I honestly adore them both. It's just that these happen to be two of my least favorite princesses along with Snow White. But I still adore their stories and enjoy watching them over and over again.
Phew. Sorry for such a lengthy post about just a simple question. I tend to go off like that. hehe! ;P
